"Spinel, could you kindly, stop jumping on the bed!" Steven says calmly, before yelling. Spinel jolts, before slinking down. "Why? It's fun!" She smiles. "Because you're going to get hurt," Steven rolls his eyes, continuing to look through a specific magazine he's had for years. Normally he'd be patient with her, but she's starting to get on his bad side. "Fiine, you're no fun. What happened to sweet and caring Steven?" She pouts, referring to the time he was singing to her in the sky, when he held out his arms, hoping she would jump into his open hug. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Steven groans, ignoring her. "Okay, okay, I get it, I'm not the best person to give affection to, I might get attached. But still, I miss that Steven.. Instead laying down all day and flipping through something your friend gave you a few years back. And most likely ignoring everything I'm saying right now.." Steven blinks, "What?" He asks, clueless to what she was saying. Spinel puffs her face up at him before sliding under the magazine, the back of her head on his chest as she pouts and looks up at him from below. "I want attentionnn!" She whines. Steven slams the magazine shut and throws it across the room in worry. "Don't just barge in my space like that!" He scolds, "And fine, God, I'll give you attention! What do you expect me to do?" She giggles, "Hugs!" She turns over and wraps her arms around him, not literally this time, and hugs him, her head on his stomach. Steven sighs, patting her back. "This is more of a cuddle than a hug." He states. "Not a cuddle if you aren't hugging back!" Steven rolls his eyes, which Spinel won't have. She pulls him down and snuggles into his chest like a cat and their owner. "Fine." He grumbles. He feels uncomfortable but..she's so happy like this. He knows her, she isn't joking, she's legitimately happy. He gets this urge to protect her, to not let her go and have nobody else near her. Totally normal though, right? Even if he wants to maybe..have her fall asleep in his embrace. This isn't weird, right? He slides down, wrapping his arms around her, and putting a hand to the back of her head. He sighs in relaxation. "I love you sooo much Stevie!" She nuzzles him, and he can't help but put on a stupid smile, as he lets out a small chuckle. "Love you too, Spinel."
