Steven was sitting on a bench by the boardwalk, soda in hand. Steven looks to the right, spotting Spinel sitting on the other bench. Steven gets up and runs over to her. Her eyes peer up at him. "Oh! Steven, Whatar'ya doin' here?" Steven waves. "Just went here to relax, didn't expect to see you here. What about you?" Spinel smiles. "Decided to stop by, is'all." Steven nods, "Oh, Alright." He sits to the right of her, not saying anything. The awkward silence caused both of them to look away. "I uhh..missed you! Been a while since your little...incident, no offense." Steven perks up at her voice. "None taken, and I.." He pauses. He hasn't really thought about her at all in the past few years, but when he did, he made the thought of visiting her before deciding against it, so maybe that counts? "I guess I missed you too I guess.." Spinel looks down from the response. "I've been thinking..I kind of want to visit the garden again.." Steven chokes on his soda, but mutters an apology before waving his hand for her to continue. "It's just that..I don't really have a reason to other than I want to..and I don't know if that's enough." Steven looks at her sorrowfully. "Your reason is valid, don't worry. If your uncomfortable with going there, I can come with you if that's also the case." Spinel looks at him, looking in his eyes while he peered into hers. "That's..a good idea."

"I can't believe I'm here again.." Spinel looks around the Garden they previously warped to. Steven walks to her side. "If you want to leave, I won't judge you-" "No, No it's fine.." Spinel walks to a familiar spot, a few feet in front of where the communicator would be. "Remember when you sang to me here.." She says in awe. Steven sighs, "How could I forget.." He watches as she closes her eyes and hums a familiar tune. Steven comes up behind her, and holds his hand out. Spinel turns around and gently takes it, as he lifts her up from the cold ground. They both laugh, as Steven forgets to pull his hand away. Spinel tightens her grip, inching closer to him. Unawaringly, Steven gets closer, too. Spinel completes the gap between their palms, now fully holding hands. Spinel hesitates, before hugging him, still holding hands. "S-Sorry about personal space.." Steven chuckles, placing his free hand on the back of her head. "It's okay, Spinel." She giggles, and Steven loses his focus. His heart flutters as the sound of her giggling replays in his mind. He sighs in a daze, loving the moment. He slowly comes out of the trance. "You..You're not going to let my hand go?" Spinel only hugs him tighter. "No.." She mumbles. "I like the way your hand fits in mine.." She snuggles her head up against his neck. His breath was taken away, as once again, he falls into a daze. Steven pulls her away, staring passionately into her hot pink eyes, the low light making them stand out gorgeously. With his hand still on the back of her head, he pulls her in, kissing her. In that moment, from afar, it seemed as if their sillouetes became one in the moonlight. One being of true love and comfort. While as the kiss was wonderful, it only lasted a few seconds, well, kind of. As Steven is breaking the kiss, "W-Wait! Don't pull away..not yet.." Spinel mumbles in his lips. She glances away, their faces still really close. "I..I wanna savor it more..A-And if it's not too much, I..um- Can I hold your hand?" She sighs. "Again..please..I know it's a lot but I just want to-" Steven smiles, cutting her off and kissing her again, holding her hand. The feeling of love and care from the kiss alone was almost too much to handle. But, that and the feeling of protection from the hand holding? Why, she might just burst from happiness. "W-Wow...Thank you, Steven.." Spinel puts her other hand on her forehead, before moving it down to her gem, engraving the moment in her mind. "Of course, Spinel." Luckily, over time, they would share more awkward kisses, with each one being less awkward.
