I frowned while putting all my gear in the trunk of my car, it's not that I'm not happy, far from it. It's just that I have loved the sport of fencing for a long time and I will probably still love it when I grow old. It's just that I fence the same people over and over again. I want more, call me selfish if you want, because I am.
Doing seven years of he same sport and fencing the same people, and winning each time. Gets you wanting more, I guess.
I closed my trunk door and was about to open the door, until I heard someone calling my name.
"Emma Stone? Are you Emma Stone? Oh alright! Does anyone know where Emma Stone is?" I heard a squeaky voice say in the parking lot.
I stepped away from my car "I'm Emma Stone!" I called out to the old man running around with some papers in his hand.
He came up to me and offered his hand, "hello Emma Stone. I have been looking for you."
I took his hand in mine, "why? Did I do anything wrong?"
He smiled and started to look at his papers. "Far from that actually! I'm a recruit for Vergrin High, and I've heard about you! Your fantastic at fencing and to be honest I think you have a good chance to be on the Women's Olympic Australia team." He handed me a paper which I took, " so the details for coming to the school are in there, if you would want to join please send me a text or call me. My phone number is on the second to last page. I hope I will be getting a text or call from you soon Emma Stone." He smiled, then walked away.
I stood there in the parking lot speechless. He was very strait forward.
Vergrin High. The best of the best get to go there. Only the best players of each sport attended and they all end up being part of the olympic team for their county. People from all over the world, all in one school.
I smiled to myself, this is big. And big changes always go good.

I got home and entered my house placing my keys on the the counter. I went to the fridge and got some apple juice, pouring myself a glass. My younger brother Andrew came down the stairs."How was the tournament?" He asked placing his self on the counter.
"One, get your ass off the counter. Two, it was great! I got a-"
Andrew cut me off "blah blah blah. I just want to know if your brought home the gold Emma! The gold!" He said raising his hands for dramatic effect.
I sighed and tapped his nose "Andrew your eight years old, you know it's not real gold. But yes I did bring home the gold." I said using my hands just like my brother.
He smiled "let me see! I want to put it with your collection! You said I could do the next one Emma!"
I smirked "first tell me where mom and dad are. Then I'll give it to you."
He frowned "they are out getting some Witchetty Grub at the store I think."
I stuck my tongue out "ew I still don't understand how they like that. But why would they leave you by yourself?"
He jumped off the counter "I can take care of myself I am eight years old! Also it's only six thirty!"
I looked outside "huh I forgot it gets dark quickly during August. Anyways a promise is a promise." I went to my bag and took out my medal "go put it in the collection Andrew."
He took the gold medal and ran upstairs to my room. I smiled and kept drinking my apple juice.
Soon enough I heard the garage door open and my mom came in, holding a bag that probably contained Witchetty Grub. She gave me a hug, and grimaced because she smelled like overly expensive work perfume.
"So how was the tournament?" She asked taking the grub out the bag.
"It was good! I got a recruitment recommendation to join Vergrin High!" I said happily.
She looked at me "this is huge news! I can't believe it! My little girl going to Canada to join some of the best athletes in the world!"
I smiled "so I can go?"
She gave me a pointed look "of course you can go! But your father and I will have to talk with you about safety and boys."
I groaned, my parents haven't really ever given me 'the talk' I go to an all girls school and they don't know what I do for fun on Saturday nights. If they did know they wouldn't be proud.
My dad came into the house "why do I hear you talking about boys? Emma Melanie Stone you better not have a boyfriend! You are not allowed to date until your sixteen!"
I groaned "dad I'm seventeen, and I was offered a place in Vergrin High. Mom said, you guys will have to give me 'the talk' in summary." I said using air quotations.
"Oh alright let's start this talk thing!"
"Andrew can hear you!" I said.
He thought "it's fine, Andrew is a growing boy I'll have to give him the talk soon. Anyways while you are in Canada please be sure to use a condom. Also don't kiss random boys, that's creepy. Also!-"
I cut my dad off "dad I know about everything." I said my face flustered.
He smiled "great! Go pack your bags! Your going to Vergrin high in Canda! And the new semester start in September fourth and that's only six days away!"
I smiled and grabbed the papers and rushed to my room. I sat on my bed and flipped to the second to last page. I dialed the number on my phone and soon someone picked up.
"Hello this is Emma Stone."
