I picked up the other strand of hair, making it cross. Gently grabbing another part of the hair from the right side. Finishing the picking up part I started to braid Grace's hair normally. Grabbing the black hair tie from the pillow I finished the French braid.
"I got it!" I said a little louder than I should have.
Graces went to the mirror in my room and frowned, "not to be rude but you did a really bad job. Don't you know how to French braid?"
I scoffed "no."
"But you said you did." She said while taking out her hair.
I shrugged, "I lied."
She sat back on my bed "why? Like I don't really care but you seem bored tonight."
"I have a lot of energy for some reason. Like you know when you just get a feeling as if you can run twenty miles without getting tired?"
She hummed then nodded. "I know this really nice trail it's around four miles round trip. A great place for a late night run. And don't worry it's perfectly safe no creepy old men."
I smiled, "your a life savor. Let me get into something better for a run."
She went on her phone trying to find the trail while I went to my closet and pulled out some leggings and a grey cropped sweatshirt. I got dressed and sat next to Grace.
"Alright so I'm going to send you the trail. To get to it you have to go past the lacrosse, football and rugby fields, then past the garden beds. Then you'll find the trail, you'll follow a small creek that will quickly turn into a river. Follow that for 1.5 miles and you'll get to a old parking lot, that's the place. When you done just head back. I strongly suggest bringing your phone because it's really great for some cool photos."
"Alright so I'll be back within a hour? Maybe a bit after" I said grabbing my phone and headphones and heading towards the door.
"Alright bye! Have fun and don't die!" She yelled back from my room.
I softly laughed and closed the door. Making sure the dorm monitors aren't around I snuck out of the girls dormitory. Getting out the building I started my music and started to head to the lacrosse fields.

Softly humming the lyrics to Style by Taylor Swift the creek did turn into a river as Grace said it would. The trail is beautiful and very secluded by the trees. I looked at the time- nine-thirty and 2.22222°Celsius. Could be worse, could be way worse.
I squinted my eyes at what I can assume to be the old parking lot. Weeds and other vegetation covering about half of it, and a old brick building with vines coming out of it. I'm surprised this place has not been used for a movie. I stopped running once I was in the middle of the parking garage, I smiled and took out my phone to take some photos. Taking a photo of a moth, I smiled at the photo, I should totally sign up for a photography class.
Suddenly a loud sound came from the sky, thunder. And thunder only means one thing- a storm. A bad storm, and a storm brings rain.
And I hate rain.
I sighed and started to head back to the dorm, until I heard a painful groan. Being the person I am I went towards the groan. There was the glorious Aaron Brown, covered in his own blood, using the wall for support. His shoulder looking as if it was stabbed.
I took a step closer, "what happened?"
He closed his eyes wincing and clutched his abdomen. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine, a storm is coming. Your going to catch a cold."
