"Uh I'm not going to wear well any of those." I said pointing at the costumes in front of me.
"Why not? The whole point of Halloween is to look sexy and get away with it because it's à 'costume'" Harper said looking at a devil outfit.
"One Halloween is for free candy, two it's a school dance." I said going onto my bed.
Grace let out a dry laugh "there aren't any teachers at the dance. As long as no one dies, they don't care. I could bring a shit tone of beer and they won't care. Speaking of beer I think the seniors have drink duty this year."
"This school is fucked up" I mumbled.
Grace laughed, "you bet it is. Now go try on this." She said shoving a angel outfit in my face.
I frowned "nope."
"I'll pay you."
I stood up walking to the bathroom, "it better be a lot."
I closed the door and heard Harper laugh about how I would only do this for money. But all I know is that I like money because I'm a greedy person.
I looked in the mirror and cringed, not my thing. I sighed and opened the door and Harper ran to me in a shocked face.
"Uh what is it?" I asked nervously.
"When have you had a six pack! Like I knew you were strong like I've seen you lift weights in gym and all. But I have never thought you were buff! My god your hot! Like you should be my bodyguard, you could kick some ass." She said without taking a breath.
I widened my eyes and a small blush went to my cheeks, I wasn't expecting well that. "I uh thanks? But I won't be your bodyguard.. that's like killing people. And I can't hurt people, it isn't my thing?" I said awkwardly.
She shrugged "we will talk about that topic again after we are done with collage."
"We will be friends after collage?"
"Were you dropped as a baby? Of course we will! We're going to be best friends until we die! Grace said coming out of nowhere and giving us both side hugs.
I smiled "of course, I'm such an idiot."
Harper patted my head "yes, yes you are."
"Also do I have to wear this? Like it's so not me! Why can't I wear a hoodie or something? I can be a bag of chips! I'll just borrow that yellow hoddie of yours Grace! Wow I know Im so smart!"
Grace laughed "if you wear it I'll double what Harper will pay you."
I thought about it, "alright deal. So what are we then? The two angels and Harper the devil?"
"Exactly!" The said together.
I sighed as the dragged me out of of the dorm to the gym. We passed other groups of people some dressed up, others not. But they all had one thing in common, they knew they were going to have a fun tonight. You could tell from the shimmer in their eyes.
And I have never been more afraid.
We walked into the gym and ended up with our arms linked, a the senior that had pink hair from yesterday gave us all beer. Reading the label I smiled, this was the good stuff.
