Margaret was returning,
from the vast U S, of A.
She was rightly quite bemused
and she had a lot to say.
Little children who bow to
that strange cartoon mouse,
Glued to their screens,
Often trapped in their house.
Isolated living- neighbours who
do not know your name.
She said it made her sad,
and that it was a shame.
In Kenya - Margaret told me
Children always play outside.
Imagination fuels them,
it's in nature they take pride.
Kids - learn to care for nature,
The community cares for them
We trust in our society
Every member is their friend.
I could not help but wonder
whether something has been lost
We've modernised our lifestyles
But maybe at great cost?
