Thirty Years Later

Two divers from Marina Bayou Organization were sent to find specific relics in the South Atlantic Ocean since they were informed by several archaeologists that they were looking for a particular shipwreck. One that belonged to a pirate. 

Apparently, these people could not track it themselves for they did not own the right equipment or have a permit to search that area.

And since there were past rumors that an evil entity sank among these European waters; some skeptics, which included a middle aged man named Nevah Everett, wanted to prove the media of its existence.

Nevah was the son of a respectable criminal psychologist named Nolan and it was said that his father asked a welder to trap the aspiration known as Piper. But now that his parents have passed away, Nevah couldn't verify if that really happened, for he was still a toddler during that time. 

He only knew bits and pieces of what his mother told him.

Nevah was not a greedy man as his father came to be one after that fiasco. Money was always on his father's mind and soon his parents divorced when he became a college student. It was as if drowning an evil entity came with a price. One that could affect your own personality and turn another chapter in someone's life into a disaster.

Nevah also inherited his father's practice and kept the newspaper clippings of that fateful day. Nolan saved Janneth Hudson from further turmoil and the missing children and family members of Burney returned to town. But those newspaper articles weren't enough for the historical society to accept that Piper existed. 

Therefore, Nevah was positioned to go back to where he first started, and that was to go back to digging up to the historical facts.

Unlike his father, Nevah became an archeologist after he got his college degree in Archeology. He sold his father's firm and started working with a local government agency. His mission was to examine complex social relationships and cultural contacts that occurred in the past and one of his goals was to seek proof that the Callis pirate ship wreckage existed.

Gustavo Arabulla and Mary Anne Haskins dove into the South Atlantic Ocean to find the Callis ship. Earlier their crew detected a foreign object in the shallow waters from it's monitors.

Both Gustavo and Mary Anne volunteered to be the divers for this mission as they were fully prepared for this journey within these swift oceans. Gustavo was previously a certified life guard and spent five years with the Coast Guard. Mary Anne was a past Olympic diver who won awards for her swift moves. With her long arms, and legs, she had a water grasp that kept her afloat.

But despite their past work, they went through further training because they were told that the waves, and the lack of oxygen within the strong currents were dangerous. Meeting sharks, schools of fish, and other sea creatures were other factors that could cause their mission to fail. Thus, they were equipped with the proper scuba diving equipment that would take them to the bottom of the trenches.

After working together for two years, Gustavo and Mary Anne learned to get along together and soon they were known to be a flirtatious couple. However, the two were competitive and aimed to do better then the other since they each wanted a higher salary. Arguments between both parties would often clash.

Once they were in the deep trenches upon the ocean floor, Gustavo was able to make out the skeletons of an old wreckage. Touching the frail portion of the ship that looked like the steering apparatus, he knew that this was the exact relic the crew saw on the radar.

Using a specialized walkie talkie, he prompted the rest of his comrades about his discovery. Holding the apparatus to his mouth, he motioned Mary Anne to come forward.

"Captain,do you read me? I repeat, do you read me?"

Up above the shores, the captain of the ship raised up the antenna of his walkie talkie.

"I hear you loud and clear, Arabulla. Speak to me."

"Think I found it, the Callis wreckage, Sir."

The captain nodded as he was delighted to hear this.

"Very Good, Arabulla. Is Haskins with you?

"Yes, sir."

"Good, I want both of you to explore what you can find on the ship. The crazy man named Everett thinks there's a glass prism down there. Find it and take it aboard."

Thinking about his options, Gustavo thought about what his next move would be. He knew Mary Anne would be as curious as he was on what lay before them in that pirate ship. A vision of greed lurked in his eyes. But he also knew about the rumors about the prism and that it held an evil being. Risky but it's precious.

Greed has no bounds when it comes to a raise.

 Gustavo gulped hearing the captain's last words. But he volunteered to be one of the divers for this mission and there was no backing out now.

"Roger that Captain. Will let you know when we find it. Over and out!"
