"Darrien what are you doing to your palm" Carrel asked walking towards me
"nothing much" I said not looking at her
"stop it Darrien you know that this is not how to take care of an injury" Carrel said grabbing my arm
I looked at her and opened my mouth to speak " Can you leave me alone for some time Carrel" were the words that came out of my mouth I was shocked as I never intended on saying it
She looked at me scared and worried at the same time and threw herself on me for a hug " sure thing teddy" she said back with a broad smile on her face and she went over to the window and crawled out uni the joining balcony and into her room room and shut the window behind her.
I went back to mum's room and locked the door. I didn't want any one going into the room especially with Nona around. I went back to my room and locked the door behind me. I climbed into my bed turned off the bedside lap and stared at the ceiling as it had lit up .
mum had gotten me glow stars for my last birthday I had begged her for it for so long and she finally got it for me. Hot tears streamed down my cheeks and I began to so loudly. I didn't know what I was feeling but it was different, like I just got rejected again and it felt like I held a huge tonne of load on my shoulders. I closed my eyes and imagined mum and slept off
FEW YEARS LATER
I woke up feeling hazy
"Joven levantate yendo a IIegar tarde a la escuela" Nona yelled I turned to the door to see her glaring at me and wiping her hands with a wet towel. "didn't you hear me or do i need to drag you out of there " she repeated with her hands on her hip. I walked out of bed towards her ' good morning Nona " I said giving her a quick hug". which shee returned.
I turned walking into the bathroom grabbing my bathrobe on the way in. Brushed my teeth,had my bath,washed and dried my hair and got ready for school
I rushed downstairs to have breakfast with Nona. She kept staring at me strangely which had me worried for a while. After breakfast, I packed up the dishes, placed them in the dishwasher and walked out of the house and met Carrel on the way
" you're up early" she said with a smile on her face pulling her bicycle beside her. I went over to the garage and pulled out mine as well and I got on it and we rode off to school.
I never liked leaving the house but Nona threatened me so many times I had to leave with no other option. I thought of how Nona was looking at me as we were having breakfast, and it had me worried
"Anything important going on today? " I asked looking forward
"Nothing I know of " Carrel replied uncertainly
"Ok" I said not asking any further questions
Finally we got to school. I walked in as Carrel was chatting with her friends which I kinda don't like, no one would believe Carrel was one of the popular girls, well that's because she is one of the cheerleaders, I don't know why ,but they have their thing going on
I could hear her friends calling me but I ignored them and walked in through the doors. I headed for my locker which was down the hall, got my English notebook and textbook and headed for class
I walked into the classroom and went over to my desk, sat down and placed my head on the desk
"Hey handsome" someone called in front of me
