I was supposed to meet a friend today. She cancelled this morning. Singing the same excuses as everybody else. I thought she was different, that she was my friend, that she liked me. Oh well. I'll just spend my day crying or reading. Probably both. I'm rather pathetic like that.

My dad once screamed at me for not doing the dishwasher properly. Claiming that I didn't care about the family, that I was useless. The escalated into a full blown rant of how I was a horrible person and made my mother cry. He's never apologised. My mum just said he was trying to help. My brother did try and defend me, but he was hardly a match for my dads sharp tongue and raised voice. He hasn't shouted like that since.
