My Angel (Katsuki Bakugou x OC)

Chapter 17

Everyone gathered at the entry way and got ready to start the race. If I know Shoto he is going to pull off all he can to show off to his dad.  That means he is probably going to freeze most of these people to get rid of a lot of competition.

"Ready, GO!" Midnight shouts and the race starts. Using my wings I fly above the crowd and avoid the ice Sho made.

Most of the class avoided the ice I decided to keep flying until I got passed the ice.

Ice shot at me and I dodged at first but another one came right after and froze my wing.

"Sho!" I shout as I started falling and he caught me while running. He set me down then took off.

"Sorry Lyra, your one of my bigger competitors if that makes you feel better," he says and I looked at my wing. It will be about maybe five minutes till it melts because it's just a thin layer.

Looks like all he wanted was to slow me down not take me out of the race completely. I started running again but everyone was stopped by GIANT ROBOTS.

I looked at my wing and it seems it still needs a few more minutes until melted.

"Where does the school even get the funding for these things," Momo said and I don't know for sure either but I think it's probably the government.

"They obviously went through a lot of trouble but I wish they prepared something a little more difficult." Shoto said as he started to freeze the ground around him. "Especially since my dear old dad is watching"

He then shot the ice towards the giant robots freezing one in place. He started running and people wanted to go through but Shoto is smarter then that. He would not just leave an opening for his opponents.

The robot then fell over and Shoto just kept running. I saw the robot fall on two guys I was about to try and help but then Kirishima burst out.

"I'M ALIVE!!!" He shouted as he burst out of the metal robot. Not too long later another one burst out with a quirk that is very similar. They were both okay so I looked at my wing and it was now fully melted.

Katsuki used his quirk to get over the bots and I started flapping my wings to get them warm again. soon I was off I flew over the robots and kept going. I looked ahead and saw a giant pit with ropes and other stuff to help you get across. I landed and looked down and yeah if you fell down down  I don't think you would live.

I want to help people across but I have to remind myself that it is every person for themselves so I open my wings and fly across no problem.

Present mic start teasing my dad about him not having a flashy quirk. No it may not be flashy but it's a strong one. Present then started saying that the next obstacle is a mine field. I looked ahead and already saw explosions from the obstacle.

I flew over the field when there was a huge explosion behind me and Midoriya flew right over everyone and is heading right for Katsuki and Shoto.

I picked up the pace in my speed a little, I have been kind of holding back the entire race because I want to save energy. Once I got over the mine field we came to the last home stretch.

"There you have it Eraser head is a terrible teacher!" Present Mic shouts.

"What?!" My dad shouts back questioning how Present Mic came to that conclusion.

I shake my head at the silliness of my uncle and the first person to cross the finish line is Midoriya. I came in fourth place right after Shoto and Katsuki.

I was going to talk to Katsuki but looking at him I think he needs some time to himself.

I looked over at Tenya to see he was really bummed out on the fact he did not win because technically he is the fastest.

"Tensei would be proud Tenya," I say walking up to him and he doesn't look convinced.

"Yes you have a quirk that makes you fast and if there were no obstacles you probably would have won. Unfortunately there were a few that were not compatible with your quirk, but you still made it work for you," I say and he looks like he is about to cry.

"So I know he would be proud," I say and he looks happy again.

"Thank you," he says and I nodded happily.

Momo then came running in and Mineta was stuck to her back.

"Let's get you off of her," I say as I pealed him off.

"You okay?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Why did he choose me to stick to," she shouted and I already knew.

"The spheres are going to be stuck to those clothes for a while so why don't you go change into another set," I said and she quickly ran for the change room.

Soon everyone was back and the top 42 would advance onto the next round. The next round is a Cavalry battle. Midnight explains that the person in first place has the most points so most people will be gunning for that person.

"Poor Midoriya" I whispered as everyone looked at him as if he was the last piece of meat in the world.

Unfortunately I will be skipping the cavalry battle because that is the one part I am still stuck on how to make it work. I might still change my mind if I get help in figuring out how to fit her into the round. But as of now we are just skipping it next chapter.
