Tiffany's POV

Now I am living in Dontae's uncle's house with him. My only problem is being left here alone with this man.

Dontae keep telling there's nothing to worry about and how I'm just being paranoid, but he's not around to see what goes on.

"Do you have to go to work, can't you just call in sick?" I whined.

"No, I started this job with honesty and integrity and that's how I'm gonna finish it. If I start lying now, it'll only become a habit and before you know it I'll be lying without a care in the world. Today, I'll only be gone six hours, I assure you you'll be fine. I'm off tomorrow and we can do whatever you want, ok?" Dontae said tying his shoe laces and grabbing his jacket to leave.

"Oh, alright." He kissed me and then left.

So, I got up and locked the door. The only thing this room doesn't have is a mini fridge. I'm hungry, but I don't feel like dealind with Marvin today. Maybe he's sleep. I know he's not gone, he practically never leaves this house. Getting comfortable on the bed, I pull out Dontae's kindle and looked through it.

A few books catch my eye and I stop on one called Love at first sight. This seems very intriguing from the cover and description. So, I started reading the book and it begin to get even better. The book was about a twenty four year old woman who had been through relationship after relationship and she has given up and wants to stay single, until she meets this handsome bachelor. He takes her out for coffee and they enjoy theirselves. At first, she kind of keeps her guard up, in fear of being let down. Once she realize she can see a future with him, she opens up to him. Now, that they're putting things out there, he opens up to her about his eight year old daughter and things escalate from there.

Along with a few bumps and curves in the road, the book was amazing. Who knew my boyfriend likes romance novels, now that's a side of him I've never seen. Four more hours and he will be back. What to do? My stomach is growling so much it seems like its talking to me, so I have no choice but to go get something to eat.

Getting off the bed, I get up and walk over to the door unlock it and head for the kitchen.

"Where do you think your going?" Marvin asked stepping out in front of me.

"To find something to eat," I said.

"Mhm," Marvin said stepping out of my way letting me pass.

Opening the fridge, it was nearly empty. The little that was inside was a box of baking soda, half a jug a milk, a few slices of cheese and a half of an onion. Closing the fridge, I opened the cabinets. This house was as dry as the sahara desert. There was a few can foods and a box of cereal. So, I decided to eat cereal. Though, its not gonna do my stomach much justice, it'll have to work for the time being.

Grabbing the box of frosted flakes, I poured them in the bowl and poured only a little milk. Being lactose intolerant has its disadvantages. This milk is gone have me gassy, oh well if they had more food it wouldn't be this way. Rinsing a spoon, I sat down and ate my cereal. My stomach had a mind of its on with all the noise it was keeping up. I need to get a job, because sitting around here all day not gone cut it.

Standing up, I placed my bowl in the sink and rinsed it out and placed it back in the dishwasher. Stealthily, I snuck back in Dontae's room and locked the door behind me. Letting out a breath of relief, I sat on the bed. Laying across the bed, I got back on Dontae's Kindle to look for another book.

Marvin's POV

My nephew done bought this young girl in my house and she walk around here like she own the place. The other day, I had to put her in her place. It don't make me no nevermind what she think about me, but I don't tolerate foolishness in here. The only thing she do is stay locked up in that room all day probably plotting.
