Dontae's POV
"What's wrong?"
"My stomache seems a little unsettled,"Tiffany said rubbing her stomach and looked to be in pain.
"Hold on, I'll be back," I said getting up, after retrieving the pepto, I came back to the room.
"Eww, I hate that stuff," she complained.
"Yea, but it's the nasty stuff that we have to take to make us feel better. Don't be such a baby, open up," I said holding out a cup filled almost to the rim with pepto. She took it out of my hand and pinched her nose and let the pink liquid slide down her throat. Closing her eyes tight, she shook her head in disgust once she swallowed all of it.
"Water, please give me some water," She said hanging her tongue out like a dog.Rushing to the kitchen, I filled a cup up with water from the sink and spilled some on the way to giving it to her. Oh well, it'll dry sooner or later. Shutting the door with my foot, I sat next to her as she got the nasty taste out of her mouth.
"You good?"
"Yea, I'm better," she said smiling.
"Back to our conversation, what should we see?" I asked curiously.
"That movie with Taraji in it, what's it called?" She asked.
"Dang, it's at the tip of my tongue...um".
"Something with deed at the end," Tiffany recalled.
"No Good Deed?" I said, but that didn't sound right.
"That's it! She said jumping to her feet.
"Ok, well I'll check my phone and see what time we can get in and order the tickets on Fandango."
Retreiving my phone from off the top of my dresser, I looked up the movie dates and times. I guess six is fine, so I'll go ahead and order a ticket for us online. Surprisingly, it was only eight dollars for the both of us. If we had paid at the theater, it would have probably been fourteen dollars and change. The internet just has it all, right.
Since its only 2:00, we may as well take a nap before we go...Tiffany had already laid back and I could tell she was sleep once I heard light snoring coming from her and her chest was slowly rising up and down. Laying beside her, I put my hands up above my head and relaxed. Closed my eyes and let my mind drift off into dreamland.
The dream I had woke me up looking around and breathing heavy. Tiffany was still there the same way I saw her before I fell asleep. In my dream : Tiffany was sitting on a couch and her belly was huge. A little boy was running around and she got up to run behind him, but she tripped and almost fell until I stepped out and caught. Looking at me releived, the little boy fell off the porch and broke his neck. That's when I woke up and realized it was only a dream.
"I'm gonna try this again." Drifting off to sleep, I was sleeping so good I couldn't even remember my dream if I had one. When I woke up, the spot next to me was empty. Looking around, I didn't see Tiffany. She's probably just in the bathroom, I got up through some shorts and a shirt on.
"Baby, you must have been sleeping good its nearly five in the evening," Tiffany said.
"Why didn't you wake me, now we'll have to eat after the movie. Grab your jacket, let's go"
We rushed out of the house and left, driving past all the slow drivers and stopping for pedestrians, finally we pulled into the packed theater. Since, we had already pre-ordered our tickets, there was no need to stand in any of the long lines. Instead, I showed the guy my phone, he let us both go by.
This movie was more popular than I thought, where are we going to have to go near the top since most of the seats are occupied. The previews were rolling once we took a seat and it looked like some pretty good movies were coming out soon.
"Look, there goes Kevin Hart," Tiffany point out as the preview for The wedding ringer displayed on the big screen. "Yeah, it looks like he trying to be in everything, but I can't lie he hilarious," I said elevating my feet in the empty chair in front of me.
Tiffany flashed me a look of disapproval, but the way I see it if I'm gone be sitting here for a couple hours I may as well get comfortable.
Popcorn filled the screen and then it sounded like someone pouring liquid, until a coke appeared on the screen. Some people were fiddling with their phones, then the lights dimmed lower. They warned everybody to turn their electronic devices off, but that didn't stop people from disobeying their wishes.
Hours later, the movie was finally over and I have to say myself it was good. Tiffany was already standing up rubbing her stomach. "I'm hungry," she said. "Me too," I agreed. So, I took her by the hand and led her through the bustling crowd of people to the truck. Hopping in, we took off down the highway.
"What are you in the mood for?" I asked her.
"Tacos," she smiled.
"Really taco's?" I asked her.
"Yup!"
Taco bell, here we come. Pulling up into the drivethru, Tiffany and I looked over the menu. Scanning the menu, I pulled up to order.
"Welcome to Taco Bell, may I take your order?" Someone asked over the intercom.
"Yes, can I get eight tacos, two buritos, a sierra mist and a Dr. Pepper," I ordered.
"That will come out to be $15.32, pull up to the window please,". I pulled up and handed her the change, she winked at me. The only thing I did was smile back, Tiffany cleared her throat. Truth is, I learned a long time ago, never be rude or disrespectful to anybody in fast food. If I ever find out if one of these people spit or put anything in my food, I'm suing for all they got.
"Excuse me?" Tiffany said.
"What?" I asked.
"Did that hoe just wink at you and you gone disrespect me by smiling back at her," Tiffany said rolling her eyes.
"I'm just being friendly, besides we don't need anybody doing anything to our food," I said. She understood my reason, but still seemed like it bothered her. Waiting, we pulled up to the next window as the car in front of us pulled off. "Here you go," the same lady had handed us our food.. Tiffany snatched it from her and I carefully grabbed the drinks and drove off. Checking the order, everything was right and we left to go home.
We got home and ate three tacos and shared two with my uncle. Drinking and eating at the same time made us fuller than usual. Tiffany just got up and ran off toward the room, I wonder what's that about. Heading in her direction, I heard her flushing the toilet. When I walked in, she was brushing her teeth.
"What happened?" I asked wondering why she abruptly shot up and came to the bathroom.
"I just threw up, I don't know why but I've been feeling
nauseated lately," she said after rinsing her mouth with listerine. Wiping her hand on a towel, she flipped the light off and left the bathroom. Tiffany took a seat on the bed and looked at the floor in bewilderment. Sitting next to her, I rubbed small circles in her back.
"Whatever it is, we'll get through this together. There's no obstacle or circumstance that will get in the way of us moving on with our relationship, alright?" I asked.
"I know, and that's why I love you," Tiffany said planting kisses all over my face.
