Douglas parted the trees to fit through, and then saw the largest huts in their community, which consisted of the eating hut, the three leaders cabins, and lookout, the largest tree there, and it was taller than anything, and from it's peak, you could see farther than anywhere else. Of course, though, there was nothing to see. Because nothing existed out there. They didn't understand why things grew on their cliff, and why they were seperated, but at least that lookout was there to see if anyone was ever coming to rescue them.

Douglas couldn't afford to think those thoughts, and then he headed into the first of the leaders cabins, Patrick's. There were two other leaders, Benjamin, and then John.

Inside Patrick's cabin, it was dark, but yet light enough to see. Patrick walked up behind him. "This is where I work, every day, every night, and boy, I need a bigger room. But, for now, I guess because I have spent a whole 5 years living in this crappy room I shouldn't be dissatisfied, right?" The sarcasm was like a sticky sap that covered his words, and made any doubt of sarcasm dissolve in seconds. Patrick looked over to see if Douglas was listening, and Douglas just nodded.

Patrick continued. "Obviously, as you should know, I did not call you here to tell you that I hate this room. Although, that technically is true, and it does feel good telling another person that I want to move. In fact, the matter of moving is the exact reason I brought you here."

Douglas cocked his head in confusion, and Patrick went on. "Douglas, surely you remember last night, when you found that box? Well, now we have 22 boxes, and I have figured them out. I knew your box would be the last, and I have been awaiting its discovery for four years. Now that you have found it, many things will be possible. Many things will be opened up to you, and many things will be brought down. Sacrifices will be made for the greater good, but together, we shall all prevail. The future is what we hold in our hands Douglas, in these boxes hold an uncovered secret. Whoever put us here, they intended for us to escape Douglas. And they knew all about how we would do it. They gave us the instructions, and now we have found them. They knew not all of us could survive. Douglas, now we are ready. It's time to leave this crappy place, and it's time to be free. Will you come with me Douglas?"
