A Trip To Gotham

Prologue

Marinette has had a hard life in high school because of Lila. She took away all of Marinette's fake friends, and Marinette got to keep all her real friends. The worst part was she was very close to one of her fake friends, Alya Cesiare.

Alya used to be Marinette's best friend, until Lila came along. She told the class stories about Marinette and Alya was one of the first ones to believe it. Alya was supposed to be one of the ones who knew her the most, turns out, she just goes where she can get an interview.

Everyone but her true friends, decided to turn on Marinette. Her true friends have seen her at her worst, and they all know each other's secrets.

Nino stayed with her. He's literally known Marinette since diapers along with one other person. The three literally grew up together. He knows that she used to get bullied by Chloe and would never hurt a fly. He's seen her take the blame for someone else's things because she didn't want to get them in trouble. When Lila said that Mari did all those awful things, he knew it wasn't true and decided to comfort Marinette along with her other friends. He broke up with Alya, because she was becoming toxic. When he found out that she was Ladybug, he wasn't really that surprised because the both came up with plans to save the day. He wasn't even her friend. No, he was her brother.

Chloe was the other one they knew since diapers. She used to be nice, until her mother left her, she became a bully. She only bullied people to see why it does her mom such wonders. She figured out it wasn't working when Lila came to that school. She apologized to their, now, group of friends. She knows Mari would never bully someone because of all the things she's done to her. She has literally seen Marinette take blame for someone's actions multiple times. Why in the world would Marinette bully Lila because of a boy? She knows that Mari helped him get with Kagami back when they both liked each other. When she found out that her best friend was Ladybug, she went to go hug her tight, like she was going to disappear. Everytime she came back from an akuma attack, Chloe would go momma bear mode to see if she got hurt. They built a friendship off of trust and love, and it's the best thing anyone can ask for.

Alix, Kim, and Max stayed. Kim and Alix have known Marinette since grade school and knows she wouldn't hurt anyone or be that jealous of someone. The last time she was jealous, she teamed up with her mortal enemy at the time to give her crush a macaroon. She didn't even harm the other girl in the process. Max stayed because Marcov has security cameras for everywhere in Paris. He looked through and didn't see where Marinette supposedly bullied Lila. They stood by her side through it all. When they saw she was Ladybug, they kinda felt dumb. It was kinda obvious considering who all got a miraculous.

Adrien had stayed. When he saw what Lila was doing to Mari, he told her to ditch that stupid advice that he gave her, and try to expose her. His father had tried to make him stay by Lila's side, but once he pulled up child labor laws he had broken, he just shut and let him do what he wanted with the Lila situation. When they revealed each other's identity, they were automatically brother and sister. So when Lila came up and said that Mari was jealous, he knew that wasn't true.

Kagami, Marc, Luka, Aurore, and Mirelle stayed. Even though they are the ones that have known Mari the shortest amount of time, they sure know her better than her so called best friend. She gave Kagami her first real girl friend, helped Marc show his stories to people, and had Mirelle and Aurore have a friendship with each other. Luka could just tell by the melodies that people have, to know that they aren't who they say they are. When they found out that Mari was Ladybug, they just helped her with training and thanked her for all the things she has done to save Paris.

Nathaniel and Juleka are coming over to the light side. Marc is pushing him to look up Lila claims and really look over the bruises she has. Juleka is getting persuaded by her brother. He points out all the things that Mari has done for them, so why would she start bullying someone that's completely new and hasn't done anything. They both come together and find out that Lila's a fake. They apologize and are accepted immediately. When they found out that she was Ladybug, they just celebrated and thanked her countless times.

These fourteen are all of Mari's only true friends. (her age.) Everyone who believed Lila, just bullied her and her true friends helped her realize that they're just people who believe the words of people they think have power and will help them in the real world.

Let me know what you think of this prologue. First time writing fan fiction kinda nervous.
