A Trip To Gotham

Since the next day was a free day to get rid of the jet lag, Mari and Adrien texted Jon and Damian to meet up with them at 10 in the lobby of the hotel. They knew they were going to have to explain this situation to them more than what they told them last night.

When they got to the hotel, Marinette and Adrien pushed the two into their room. Them, knowing Chloe, was going to shop until the sun went down. When they shut the door, their two kwamis came out of hiding.

"Hello, I'm Marinette's kwami. My name is Tikki. This grumpy thing's name Plagg. Nice to meet you." Tikki beamed.

"Aw. She's so cute. And look, Damian and Plagg match each other perfectly." Jon pointed out.

When Mari and Adrien spotted the similarities, they started laughing. When the laughter started, Damian growled and glared, while Plagg muttered something about getting some cheese. When he came back from getting cheese, everyone was seated.

"Alright since you know you're soulmates, I'm just going to give you the things you can do now, since you have met each other. You can read each other's thoughts and communicate with one another through your head. And no, it's not all four of you, it's just you and your soulmate." Plagg stated, as he flew back into who knows where.

"I don't get it, you said when we met, but we met on the plane. How come it didn't work then?" Mari asked.

"We meant when you meet in and out of costume. Since you met yesterday in costume and out of costume, it worked. Now, any questions?"

"I have a question, how are we gonna do this, like our friends and families know that we have a soulmate in hero form, but if we do it in civilian form, they'll know who is who. So what are we gonna do?" Adrien asked.

"Hey do y'all go to Gotham Academy?" Mari asked.

Damian and Jon nodded. (I don't know if he actually does, just go with it.) "Well then I got it. We could hang out in hero form and when we go to school, we could just say that we're friends from school if anyone catches us hanging out after school next week." She suggested.

"If one of my brothers asks, I'm just going to say I find you all tolerable. But other than that, that could actually work." Damian commented.

"Ok now that that's settled, I wanna try talking to each other through our minds." Jon exclaimed.

Mari and Adrien giggled at him and decided to try it.

"Um, Adrien is it working?" When Jon looked back up at Adrien, he saw that he had a shocked expression on his face.

"Yeah, this is so cool. I just thought of something, if we're bored in class, we could talk to each other. Oh, we could cheat on a test if we don't know the answer. We could also freak people out and, dang it, I'm rambling. Curse you Mari." Adrien exclaimed. Jon was just laughing and blushing at Adrien.

Meanwhile with Mari and Damian:

"Are you sure this soulmate thing and talking to each other through our minds thing is real?" Damian asked.

"It is real. Plagg might lie sometimes, but Tikki would never lie. So this is real. Anyways, lets get to know each other. What something about you that not a lot of people know about?" Mari explained.

"Well I used to be an assassin with my mother until I met my father. But my mother still tries to get me to join."

"Is it weird that I find that cool. But about me, I live in a bakery and I'm the guardian of all the miraculouses. Oh and I'm MDC, the famous fashion designer."

"You have no idea how much my brothers love your designs. One of them talks about it every single time Jagged Stone has an outfit by you" Mari blushed from the complement.

She was about to respond until there was a knock at the door. Adrien and Mari went to the door, and lord and behold, there was Lila and her sheep at the door.

Alya looked around in the room and spotted the two boys and the huge suite. "Why do you two have a bigger room than any of us and why are there boys in your room?" the tabloid writer asked.

"Did you forget that Adrien and Chloe's dads are rich, or have you already used the last brain cell in your head. We don't need to explain why we have boys in our room." And with that, they slammed the door in their face, while locking the door.

The four chatted for about another hour, until Mari and Adrien got a text that Chloe was going to be back in about 30 minutes. So they exchanged phone numbers and the guys left.

When Damian stepped a foot inside the manor, he got bombarded with questions.

"Where were you today?"

"Why were you out for so long?"

"Who were you- why are you smiling?"

When Tim asked that, everyone noticed he was smiling. A genuine one.

"Angel, should I tell them that I was with you or should I mess with them?" He asked Mari.

"You should mess with them. Tell them that you were with Jon and were meeting your soulmates. Just don't give too much info." She responded.

When Damian focused on his family, he could see all of their confused faces. "I was with Kent and we were with our soulmates that you saw yesterday. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to my room."

"Do we at least get to meet your soulmate anytime soon?" Someone asked.

"You might meet her tonight or this week, or next month. Who knows?" And with that, he left the room that was soon filled with groans.

WITH MPS:

When Damian contacted Mari, she, out of nowhere, started laughing. When she was out of her trance, she looked around, and was filled with a confused room.

"Were you chatting with you-know-who?" Adrien asked. Mari nodded. Kim, Nino, Max, and Chloe knew who she was talking to, but the rest looked confused.

Then they remembered that they weren't in the room with them last night. "That's right, you weren't with us last night. Basically, Tikki and Plagg told us that we were going to find our soulmates in Gotham, and that we can talk to them in our minds and hear each other's thoughts. So Kim wanted to run to get rid of some energy last night, so we transformed and we ran into the bats. So my soulmate was part of the bats, and Adrien's was Superboy. Miraculous magic doesn't work on soulmates by the way, and so we knew each other off the bat, and that's about it." She explained.

Everyone shook their heads as if they understood and Alix looked offended. "You could have woken me up and I could have gone with you. I could have scared them with my umbrella and popped out of nowhere."

"Alix, you when your mad is scary. No one would have the courage to wake you up ." Luka explained.

She wanted to complain, but she knew it was true.

"So me and Adrien are going to meet up with them tonight, um, Alix, Nathaniel, Luka and Kagami can go with us tonight. Alix for your umbrella idea, Nathaniel for your illusions, and Luka and Kagami for meeting them. Since you are all 18, you don't have to worry about running out of time. Aurore, Mirelle, Juleka, and Marc, you can meet them next time we go out."

"Sure. I just want to scare them. See you guys later when we can go out to see them." And with that, Alix and everyone else was out of the door.
