I couldn't believe Mustafa would do such a thing for me. He loved me enough to let someone from my past here and see me as the new me and that says something.

"My beautiful daughter" my said muttered running her fingers through my hair. I sighed happily at her touch.

"You've changed a lot," she said putting her hands down on my lap rubbing circles on my knee.

"We've all changed mother," I said looking over to the children. Suleiman and Yenisah were playing together while Mehmed and the twins were trying to read Italian with their father.

"You started a new life here and I don't blame you, but why didn't you send us any message a letter maybe to inform us that you were alive and well" I turned back to look at her.

"How's father?" I asked. Mustafa had told me that my father has been really sick for a while now.

"He's getting worse by the day and we don't know what his sickness is" she muttered sadly looking down at her hands.

"Is Francis in Paris?" I asked. I already knew that my older brother wouldn't waste such an opportunity of getting the throne, he's not the oldest and not the heir but our brother Carl is yet he still tries to get it.

"Carl put him under arrest until further notice, if your father woke up he will deal with him and if he didn't then your brother will" I knew how much it hurt her to speak about this conflict that has been going on between the two after they started understanding that they are princes with a throne and power on the line.

"What will happen now?" I asked worriedly. I loved my brothers dearly despite not being included much with them until the last couple of months before I ran away.

"I pray to the Lord to save them," she said closing her eyes as if she was praying. She opened them again and turned to look at Mustafa who got up and walked over.

"I have to go, darling, I have some work to finish," he said leaning down and kissing my forehead lovingly before leaving the room.

"I hope he's been treating you like you deserve," my mother said earning my attention again.

"It was rough in the beginning getting used to their traditions and culture especially when I discovered that he slept with one of the concubines and got her pregnant, Ayse you've met her earlier" she nodded her head.

"I know all about their traditions, we've learned about them since we were children, how many other women does he have?" She asked. It sounded like she was just carelessly throwing words right and left and they hurt me a lot for her to assume that I couldn't keep a man grounded.

"None, he hasn't been in a relationship with any other women even Ayse since he got her pregnant, it's always been me and only me," I said clenching my fists tightly. I could see the way my mother changed and I can't say it was for the better. She was just like any other royal woman now, she throws words at other women no matter what they are.

"Excuse me mother, I have to take the children to their lessons" I got up and walked over to the children and ushered them outside leaving my mother alone in her room.

After dropping off the kids at their lessons I went straight to Mustafa's room and sat there for a while before he joined me.

"Why are you here? I thought you would want to be with your mother" he sat down beside me and placed his arm on the couch behind me.

"I really do but she irritated me a little and I needed a break" I muttered looking down at my lap.

"Your brother sent his messengers to invite us to France," he said making me brighten up and look up at him with a grin.

"That would be amazing and very needed so I could convince Carl to let out Francis and maybe instead of leaving him in the dungeons or kill him maybe banish him somewhere so he won't be a problem anymore," I said excitedly. He chuckled and placed his hand on my cheek and pulled me in for a kiss filling me with a very familiar feeling of love, passion, and lust.

"I missed you, you've been busy all day and I didn't get to speak with you privately" he whispered against my lips

"I missed you, you've been busy all day and I didn't get to speak with you privately" he whispered against my lips. I sighed and pulled him in for another passionate kiss.

"Where are the children?" He asked pulling away and leaned his forehead against mine.

"Lessons and they won't finish until later today" I answered back letting my fingers run through his smooth brown hair.

"Good" he growled and attacked my lips with more aggressive kisses. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him in closer to me wanting to feel him, needing him near me as soon as possible.

"I love you" he muttered and was about to pull down my dress but a sharp knock on the door interrupted us making us pull away from each other.

"Come in," Mustafa said fixing his hair as ChaliChali walked in with a blush on his face when he saw how to impropriate the time was.

"I apologize my prince but we just got a letter from the campaign grounds information us that his majesty has passed" I gasped standing up along with Mustafa.

"Your majesty" he walked over and kneeled in front of Mustafa. He pulled out the sultan's sword which probably arrived with the messenger. I bowed to Mustafa as he took the sword and claimed his rightful place as a sultan.

"Prepare for us to leave to the capital" I knew Mustafa was hurting because of his father's death but not as much as he should be, the sultan was just the sultan to Mustafa and nothing more, he tried to kill him for god's sake and he almost forgave him if it wasn't for Mahidevran sultan and me.

"You now are truly a Haseki Sultan," Mustafa said turning to look at me. I smiled up at him but not proud of myself but of him.

"Doesn't matter" I shrugged and pulled him down and kissed his lips again.

"Now where were we?" I asked making him laugh and drop the sword to pull me close for some celebrating.
