"Ibrahim don't run" I called out looking at my now four years old son who was running towards the castle as fast as his tiny legs could.
"Malak please make sure he doesn't hurt himself" I looked at the maid pleadingly knowing that I can't run in my condition. She nodded before running after the small rascal.
"Madam please take Beyazid and go bring Mehmed from his teacher" I ordered. She bowed and walked away holding my son's hand.
"I'm really hoping for a girl this time around" I looked behind me to see Mustafa standing there admiring me as I looked over the flowers in the garden making sure to not break any vines to not ruin the beauty of the flowers.
"And why is that?" I asked smiling at him. He walked closer to me and placed his hand on my stomach stroking it lightly feeling the baby move.
"I want a girl to be as pretty as you and as smart as you," he said placing a small kiss to my forehead.
"This place will always give me the creeps," I said looking behind him at the castle that we've lived in for the past week.
"Me too," he said looking behind him at the castle that he moved to when he was only five and everything went to hell from there.
"But look on the bright side we're going to see Mihrimah today and her daughter" he smiled brightly looking at me. I gave him a smile back before we separated him from his horse and me to the carriage that will give me a lift to Mihrimah's castle.
I sighed as Mustafa helped me out even though it was almost a must that an agha helps me out of the carriage but Mustafa has been really strict about the people surround myself and our children with.
"Let's meet your niece then," I said cheerily as we walked in hand in hand me having a little trouble walking around with my nine-month pregnant belly.
We walked into the room Mihrimah was in, I bowed and smiled at her which she returned and handed Mustafa her daughter which he took happily.
"You'll be getting a playmate soon" he whispered to the baby making us laugh at his excitement for the new baby which the children didn't like one bit.
"She looks very beautiful as her mother," Mustafa said looking at Mihrimah who gave him a small smile.
"Pray she gets good luck she'll need it more than beauty," she said. We all knew what the true meaning of her words was, she wished her daughter married a man she truly loved unlike.
"May she be lucky through her life" Mustafa said looking at the maid behind Mihrimah who walked over and took the small child from his arms and leaving the room to put the princess to sleep.
"Are you happy Mihrimah?" Mustafa asked looking at his sister who sighed deeply and looked at him with a broken look.
"For now" she shrugged. Mustafa pulled her in for a hug just as the doors opened to show Rustom pasha, he paused for a second before noticing who his wife was hugging. I really hated him at this moment, did he really think that a sultan would cheat on him out in the open like this.
"My prince I didn't know that you were here," Rustom said bowing to Mustafa and nodded at me which I returned placing a hand on my stomach feeling the baby move around a lot feeling my discomfort.
"Do I need your permission to visit my sister?" Mustafa asked sarcastically glaring at Rustom pasha.
"Of course not my prince" Rustom said throwing Mustafa a fake smile which Mustafa did not return.
"Mustafa I insist that you and Nasira stay here for the night," Mihrimah said holding on to her brother's arm breaking the awkward silence that filled the room after their brief conversation.
"We can't leave the children alone," I said looking at Mustafa worriedly knowing how much he hated Rustom, and staying here would be very stressful.
"We'll send after them" Mihrimah almost seemed desperate to not be left alone with Rustom for the night. Mustafa looked at me and I gave him a weary smile as my answer.
"Like you with my flower" he kissed her forehead and went to sit on the couch followed my Mihrimah. I sat down on a cushion on Mustafa's side and Rustom to Mihrimah's.
Not long after we had the most awkward dinner ever before the children were bought over and Mustafa and Mihrimah were busy playing with them as I and Rustom watched from the side.
"You seem proud to have achieved your goal"
"Excuse me?" I looked beside me at Rustom who was the one to speak.
"You got the prince to fall for you and you have three kids with the fourth on the way," he said looking at my kids. I felt my heart clench in worry over my children.
"I didn't achieve anything Rustom PASHA, I merely fell in love on like poor unlucky sultana Mihrimah," I said glaring at him before walking over to Mustafa to take a sleeping Ibrahim from him ignoring the glare Rustom was throwing my way.
"Excuse me, my prince I wish to go to our courters, I'm feeling a little tired," I said nodding towards the door hinting to Mustafa to follow me.
"And I too feel tired, let's go," Mustafa said. Mihrimah bowed to Mustafa and I bowed to her before we left to the room we were given.
"What's wrong?" Mustafa asked sitting on the bed and pulling me beside him after we were alone in our room.
"It's nothing, Rustom was just getting on my nerves," I said looking down on my hands feeling ashamed for worrying him.
"What did he say?" Mustafa asked kissing my cheek.
"He accused me of using you to get to power," I said looking at him.
"Ignore him" Mustafa kissed my lips before bending down to kiss my belly making the baby kick.
