Doctor Who Future (Series Five)

The Gardens of Tondola : Episode Two

Suddenly, several of the hooded figures emerged from around trees. They surrounded the three of them.

"Oh hello," the Doctor looked around at the ominous figures around him. "How do you people do, I'm the Doctor, this is Max and Sophie. Who are you guys?"

The hooded figures stood still.

"We are the Order of the Crevice," a hooded figure stepped forward. "And you are to be prepared for the sacrifice."

Hooded figures grabbed each of the Doctor, Max and Sophie and restrained them.

"Hey!" Max yelled.

"Let us go," Sophie struggled.

"Take them!" The hooded figure smiled under his cloak. "We serve him well."

Zap!

Sophie blasted the person restraining her with lightning and then did the same to the people holding the Doctor and Max. "Run!" She cried.

"Whoah!" The Doctor stared dreamily at Sophie as he collapsed to the floor.

Sophie bit her lip as she saw the Doctor fall to the floor. "You'll have to carry him!"

"Great," Max rolled his eyes and grunted with struggle as he lifted up the Doctor. "Jesus christ how much does his new body weigh!"

"You will stop!" The hooded people chanted as they advanced on the three travellers.

"Get back," Sophie blasted them with lightning but suddenly they were shielded by a force field.

"You will stop!" The order continued to chant and pursue them as Sophie and Max ran away from them.

"Let go of me," elsewhere on the planet, other members of the order dragged another traveller towards the edge of a cliff.

This seemed to be the Order of the Crevices base of operations.

"Silence," the hooded leader of the Order stepped down off her podium and approached the captured woman.

"Why should I listen to you?!" The woman spat in the leaders face.

"You don't have long left to live," the leader gave a sadistic smile. "But don't worry, you will die with honour. Bring her to the crevice."

"No!" The woman struggled as the people restraining her dragged her to the side of the cliff face.

"What about the other three travellers?" The leaders second in command was nearby, recalling the Doctor, Sophie and Max.

"Word has been given to me that they are evading capture," the leader explained. "And the crevice is hungry!"

A crack in the cliff face opened and shone light all around. The ground shook as the light started to consume the female traveller.

"No!" She screamed.

"Serve him," every single member of the order kneeled in unison as they chanted. "Serve him, Serve him!"

She was slowly pulled into the crevice. "No!"

Her screams drowned out.

They all got back to their feet.

The second in command turned to the leader. "Now, what about the other three."

"Don't worry," the leader lowered her hood. "I have word the crevice will deal with them, by itself!"

"Okay," Sophie panted as the three of the were concealed underneath a large bush. "I think we're safe."
