Chapter 5

Clary~

Clary woke up that morning feeling refreshed and energized. She felt like she could do anything, so she got up out of bed put on some leggings that Isabelle got her, a tight light green top, a leather jacket that Isabelle had also got her and some black boots that yet again Isabelle got her. Basically the hole outfit is from izzy. But clary couldn't complain she looked really good, she let her hair down grabbed a couple daggers and a seraph blade and her stele finding places for each one to stay and walked out of the room.

When she entered the lounge room everyone was asleep except for Simon who had keys in his hands and was heading for the door.

"Simon" she whispered he turned and looked at her and his faced showed surprise at what she was wearing. "where you going?"

"I have a early band practice with the guys"

"your still in the band" she asked him as they left the apartment at 9:30

"of course I am, and I guess you coming"

"yep" she smiled up at her best friend

"so how you feel" he asked her as they got into a cab

"fantastic to be honest I have never felt better" and it was the truth nothing felt out of whack.

"that's good, you certainly look fantastic" he pointed at her outfit

"izzy picked it out for me" she said but while she held out a the leather jacket to show Simon a blade came out of her pocket.

"Clary?" Simon asked unsure "what's that"

"nothing" he didn't believe her he went for her pockets and found two more blades her stele and on seraph blades on her back hidden by her jacket

"what's all this" he asked then out of no where he grabbed the sleeve of her jacket pulled it up and saw runes drawn up her arms "Clary this isn't you, you dont carry around weapons and have runes on all the time, that's what Jace does"

"well I need protection and don't say I'm not a qualified shadowhunter yet because I have had a lot of training" she said when she saw Simon begin to protest

"Fine we will talk about this when we get back and Jace is here and can argue on my side. Also put those away" he said motioning to the weapons "the cab driver will freak out"

When they arrived at Eric's house all the boys were already set up so Clary sat down on a vacant seat and started to watch them. Her arrival was unnoticed the boys only noticed Simon and they started their little bonding session. Clary couldn't help remembering Eric, Matt, kirk and Simon all siting around and discussing starting a band and she kept on saying it won't be big, she gave a little giggle at the thought.

The boys turned around and saw her there and they seemed to jump a bit after looking her up and down "hi Clary" Eric said "you look different"

She smiled up at him "thanks Eric"

soon Matt was sitting beside her "hey Clary I was wondering-"

"no I was wondering first" said Kirk

"shut up!" Simon yelled all the boys took a step back looking at there vampire friend "guys if you want to keep you heads on you won't hit on her" he told them

Clary laughed in her head at the thought of them hitting on her.

"why if we do are you going to suck our blood" Eric said empathizing the word blood

Simon laughed at this "No her boyfriend will do that for me with a flick of a knife" Matt got up

"Yhea but a one week boyfriend is nothing"
