I'm nervous. This is not the first time I attended the university. My batchmates graduate for couple of months now and I see how happy they are, enjoying their life after they finished their degree and here I am, still chasing my dream, entering college again. Knowing I suffered from Schizophrenia, I'm afraid about what people throw at me once they found out.
I parked my car and went straight ahead to my room. It's 6:30 in the morning and the scenery was covered by silence. I was busy scrolling through my phone
"Bright?" With the voice who called my name, I squirmed and I saw a girl with a great smile, waving at me.
I stared at her and realization popped up that puts me on shockness "Oh? Nicole? is that you?" I stated.

"Bright!!!" She giggled, ran to my place and hugged me"Where have you been?!?!?" Nicole asked.
I stuttered and became hesitant. Should I tell her what happened? Nicole is my buddy since elementary. She's in Third year college now and seeing her, makes my heart flutter and I feel comfortable. Growing up with her, we shared mementos together; That's why she's special to me. Through ups and downs, we share the same battle field of reality.
I tapped her back weakly. "Do you want some coffee? My class starts at 7:00 A.M tho we still have 30 minutes" I offered and she immediately freed herself "Let's go!!" with excitement, she pulled my hand and went to the cafeteria. She never change. Not in a million. Nicole is still jolly and she never fail to make me smile even in the simpliest thing.
"Here" I handed her a americano
The vibe of the wind was bit cold since It's Ber months and the holiday is fast approaching.
"Thank you" She whispered and smiled at me. We sat, and sipped our coffee. I just stared at her and she stopped from her business when she caught me.
"You didn't answer my question" Nicole broke the silence. I completed myself before answering her.
"Well, I suffered from a mental illness and I have to stop entering college" I stated and sipped my coffee. Nicole, who's awfully looking at me and her face saddened.
"Why? Is there any problem?" I asked her with confusion.
"I hate you for not telling me your condition! You should've call me" She exclaim while pouting.
"Hey, It's okay!" I reasoned out while smiling at her.
"Of course it's not!" She said almost shouting, that some students are staring at us. "Mental health is a huge deal, Bright. I know, you suffered a lot and you don't have anyone on your side" She frowned and her voice cracked up.
"It's okay, really. Sorry for not telling you what happened to me. One thing, I don't want you to be worried" I bail out my eyes into her. My heart was beating fast. I think my feelings for her never faded. I like her. Nicole makes me happy. Everything was falling apart, but seeing her, cheering me up, Things are lighter and I forgot the pain that reality throwing to me.
Nicole plastered her eyes to me."Are you blushing?" She said in a serious manner that made my eyes widen.
"N-no, " I stuttered and touched my face with the my hands. I stood up and acted as if I'm in a hurry. "Shia, It's already 7:00 A.M! Let's go?"
She sipped her coffee for the last time and stood up, fixed her cardigan and put it into her bag since the weather was a bit warmer now. She nodded at me and smiled.
We finally reached the facade of my building and I have to hurry up since our class will start at exactly 7:00 A.M.
"Bright" Nicole uttered, and she glued her serious eyes on mine that made me nervous.
"Uhm?" I awkwardly smiled at her
"You know I like you. Please, give me a call if there's something bad happen or you need someone to talk to" She said that made my heart beats fast once more.
"No worries, Thank you for today! I see you later." I replied and she went close to my place and patted my head. "Bye!" She joyfully added and gave me the purest smile. I just waved back and Immediately went to my room. I slowly opened the door and went inside.
"Oh? You're from this class?" The professor asked and I shyly nodded.
"Introduce yourself to them"
"Hello everyone!! Nice to meet you all" I don't know what to say.
"You can sit at the back" The professor commanded while writing something into the board. As I make my way into my place, I noticed a familiar guy sitting beside my chair. I silently sat in the chair trying not to ruin his concentration.
"Just sit there and feel at home. Welcome to your first day, I'm not interested to be your friend" He uttered out of nowhere that made me startle. At first, I thought he's talking to his sketch, but I guess, He's pertaining to me.
"Ah, I see--" I don't know what to say. I feel intimidated.
"Okay, so for today's activity, you have to find for a partner that will help you in your project. I already grouped you by the way" Our professor said. Students were chatting about what our professor said
"And for the transferred student at the back, Mr. Teepakorn, he's your partner" The guy raised his hand and made a like into his thumb as a sign of yes.
"You are busy sketching e? What's that?" The class got boring and I have to entertain myself for me to not to fall asleep.
"This? Nothing. Just to save myself from boredom" He said and stroked his hand a little and puts down his pen.
"A rabbit?" I asked out of the blue with my chin resting in my palm.
"Isn't obvious?" He replied
"Uhm, it's cute" I shortly replied
"Mr. Teepakorn? What are you doing? I said talk to your partner for the activity" our professor shouted and he sighed.
"Okay, so what's your plan?" He finally looked at me and with realization, his eyes got widened and he finally recognized me.
"Y-you" He stuttered as he saw me. I just smiled at him because of his reaction.
"You remember me?" I asked, still smiling
"Uh, I do." He shyly replied.
