Chapter 24: Beomgyu vs Minju

December, 9, 1900

Author's POV

After, separating themselves from the group. Both, Beomgyu and Minju started attacking each other nonstop. They both released an attack after another one. Both, so powerful and yet both of them still lack it.

"You know Beomgyu, if you just left that Ryujin girl alone. Maybe none of this would've happen!" Minju said, as she unleashed another powerful attack.

"Then, maybe just maybe, we can go back to what we were before." Minju said, as she started releasing more attacks than Beomgyu can even handle.

"Yeah. As if! I will let you be friends with me! Not anymore!" Beomgyu said, as he blocked every single attack that was thrown at him by Minju.

"Even if this didn't happen. I will never. Not, after you killed my Mother!" Beomgyu shouted at Minju as his anger started eating him up. He started to release more attack one after another. Much faster and powerful than, Minju's attacks earlier.

Not, letting Minju breathe for a brief moment at least. "She didn't do anything to you! Yet, you killed her!" Beomgyu shouted at Minju, as he continues to attack her.

"Yes she did! She said she wouldn't allow me to come near you ever again! Did you know how much, painful that was for me at that time?!" Minju shouted back at Beomgyu.

"That's why I had to do that!" Minju said, as she started attacking Beomgyu more and more.

"She wasn't in favor of our Relationship!" Minju shouted at Beomgyu, and released a really powerful attack, which made Beomgyu lose his balance.

"You know what's sad? It's sad, that all the memories we both made with each other. Are nothing now." Minju said, and had a tear on her eye.

"Yeah. All of it means nothing to me. To us. Since, there was never an 'us' even before." Beomgyu said, as he stood up straight.

"I've always shown you, love and get you always reject me. Every. Single. Time." Minju said, in anger.

"Yeah! That's because I only see you as a friend!" Beomgyu said, and started attacking Minju once again.

"Oh really? What happened to your promise when we were little? That we would get married once we already got into proper age?" Minju asked, while smiling evilly and blocking the attacks that Beomgyu sent out.

"We were still young back then! And you tricked me!" Beomgyu shouted at Minju as he pointed his finger towards her.

"I was always visiting you when you were sick. Keeping you company, until you were actually feeling better." Minju said, in a sad and disappointed tone, which distracted Beomgyu. Minju quickly took hold of the chance and attacked him full force.

Beomgyu, was shocked when he saw Minju approaching him, in a very fast pace, Beomgyu barely had time to dodge the attack. Causing, Beomgyu to attain a slash, on his left arm.

Beomgyu, quickly held the bleeding arm, to try and stop it from bleeding. Beomgyu, was still looking down on his arm, and looked up when he heard Minju laugh. "See that? It just means that you still care for me. Dear Beom." Minju said, as she continued to laugh.

Beomgyu, gritted his teeth and stood up once again. Beomgyu, held his sword tightly, as he was slowly losing it. "Listen here Beomgyu. Ryujin and I are very different. I was the one who was and has been with you. All along. While her? She doesn't even know you back then." Minju said, as she walked towards Beomgyu.

Beomgyu looked at her, with anger in his eyes. "That's where you're wrong, Minju. We already knew each other back then." Beomgyu said, as he walked closer to Minju.

"See?! Ever since you met her, you changed so much, Beomgyu! That's why I hate her so much! She changed you, for the worst!" Minju shouted at Beomgyu as she pointed at him.

"I wasn't the one who changed. You're the one who changed. Minju." Beomgyu said, as he walked towards her, with a very menacing aura around him. Making, Minju take a step back, from him.

Minju quickly tripped, because of a hole on the deck floor, and lost balance. Making her lose to Beomgyu. Beomgyu quickly pointed his sword, at Minju's neck. "It's over now. Minju." Beomgyu said, coldly at Minju.

Minju was just looking at ground, as if she just can't believe that she actually lost. Minju let out a sigh, as she said something that shocked Beomgyu. "Fine. But, can I ask one thing? I want you to end my life." Minju said, and looked up to meet Beomgyu's eyes.

'What the? Why would she want that?' Beomgyu thought as he shook his head.

"No. I want proper justice for you and I know you can still change, Minju." Beomgyu said as he put his sword in its case and left Minju alone. While, grasping his injured left arm.
