♤Luke's Pov♤

Today's Saturday! Which means we get to all meet up today! Including our new member!

I'm so excited too... Me and Zander always bond well at the park, some of my greatest memories come from there.

Zander and Hailey came over to pick me up as well.

"Hey! LUKE! Get in the car! Come on, come on, come on!" I heard Zander holler.

"Oh come on, Zander... Let Luke get his stuff..." Hailey puffed.

"Yeah, sorry Zander... I couldn't find my phone." I sigh, slightly embarrassed.

"Oh nooooo, your phoooone...." Zander groans.

He gets elbowed by Hailey.

"Hey Zander... Remember when you lost yours and you trashed the music room?" Jake chuckled.

"Hey! I remember that!" Sean laughed.

"It looked like hurricane Katrina..." Milly murmered.

"Wow... You guys must have so much fun instances..." Tyler commented.

"You bet we did! One time Jake sniffed  spaghetti up his nose!" Milly giggled.

"Oh... Yeah, that hurt..." Jake sighed.

"Oh my god..." Zander puffed.

"Alright, we're here, kiddos..." Hailey and Zander's dad called from the front seat.

"Aw, sweet. Me and Tyler will grab the instruments." Jake called, hoping out of the car.

"Yeah sure..." Tyler replied.

In a few minutes we were walking around.

"Hey Luke, there's that one weirdo who tripped on that girls jumping rope at school!" Zander called out to me.

"What a great time..." I chuckled.

"He still has the bruise..." Hailey stiffened.

"Ooh... That must be tough." Tyler replied.

"Hey guys, we can perform in about an hour!" Milly called, running while her arms flailing.

"Oh cool." Zander puffed, putting his keyboard down.

"Hey, I think we need someone to watch the instruments... So their not stolen..." Hailey suggested.

"I did it last time..." Sean quickly announced.

"I did it before Sean!" I announced.

"Well, I can do it... I mean, if it's okay..." Tyler suggested.

"Oh my gosh, thanks Tyler... I can't thank you enough... Some of the OTHER members aren't being very considerate." Hailey grumbled.

"Oh shut up, Hailey, you never did it either!" Zander mocked.

"Oh please, I'm going towards the beach, see ya..." She shrugged.

"Oh, I'll come..." Jake replied, running after her.

"Don't do anything stupid, Jake..." Zander laughed, making Jake form a pouty face.

"Whatever, Zander!!!"

♡Hailey's Pov♡

Me and Jake walked around the park, leaves were falling around us, the sun was setting and... And... It was so perfect...

And then we reached the beach and rushed over to the sand.

"Do you like the beach, Hailey?" Jake asked me.

"What do you think stupid?" I laughed. Jake rolled his eyes while smiling.

"Well, me and Zander used to collect seashells when we were small, I dunno, I just like it here."

"Hm, cool..." Jake replied, sitting down next to me.

"So... Um..."

"Yeah, uh...

"So, you excited for the band competition?" I asked.

"Yeah... I dunno... I never sang in front of the whole school before." He sighs.

"Well, me neither... But I think we'll do okay..." I reply.

Jake smiles, then frowns again.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask.

"Just thinking, I dunno, if my friends are gonna understand... You know, that I'm interested in singing." Jake asked.

"Oh... That's tough..." I reply.

Jake continues to stare.

"But, either way... Who cares what your friends think?" I persisted.

"Mm..." Jake hummed.

"I care about you... And everyone else does too... So, if they don't support you, we will..." I sigh.

Jake smiles again.

"Alright... Cool... Thanks, Hailey..."

I feel my face getting red. "Yeah... Of course..."

Jake stares back at the sunset. I follow.

I can barely feel Jake's hand next to mine. I can also feel my heart pounding ever so slightly.

"Ya know..." Jake starts.

I turn to look at him.

"I've been kinda thinking..."

"Y-yeah?"

"Well, ever since I joined the club... I just realized, t-that... Um."

Is... This?

"Well, Hailey... I-"

"Hey, guys! Milly told me to tell you guys that we need to perform in fifteen minutes!" Tyler yelled from behind the bushes.

"Oh... Thanks, dude..." Jake replied, getting up and helping me up.

Well... Now I'm wondering, what he wanted to say...

I want to ask him, but... I think the moment is ruined.

Anyways, we set up all our instruments, and we're just about ready to perform... The crowd is filled with kids, their parents and... Just a lot of people.

Quickly tuning my guitar, I spot Jake talking to Daisy, I guess she came out to watch us too.

So I guess I was wrong. Jake didn't want to confess. He did say he liked Daisy.

Maybe I'm just dumb.
