you wake up in the middle of the night to a nightmare. you were back at your house with your dad. you screamed and shot up on your bed. you are breathing heavily. nick sits up and puts his arms around you. you flinch.

N | hey. it's okay. it's me, nick.

you turn and wrap your arms around him. he rubs your back.

N | you had a bad dream?

y/n | yeah.

N | it was just a dream.

he lays you back down and talks to you until you fall asleep. your alarm goes off at 6 am. you roll over and turn it off.

N | where are you going so early?

y/n | i'm going to watch the sunrise.

N | really? how often do you do that?

y/n | at least twice a week. this is my 4th time this week though.

N | can i come?

y/n | yeah. get up. we only have a little bit.

you throw on leggings, a hoodie and a beanie.

he just has a sweatshirt and sweatpants. you go outside and bike about 1/2 mile to a feild. you park your bikes then walk up a small hill. you sit against a tree.

N | this literally looks like a movie set.

you smile. he sits down next to you. you are pretty silent for a minute.

y/n | thank you for staying with me last night.

N | of course. i'm glad i could.

you lay your head on his shoulder. you talk to each other as the sun rises. you sit there for about 30 minutes after the sun was up then you bike back home. you walk inside and payton and chase are still asleep. you ate cereal for breakfast. chase walks into the kitchen.

N | morning man.

C | what are you guys up to today?

y/n | nothing.

N | we went and watched the sunrise.

C | cute.

you roll your eyes.

y/n | are you hanging out with charli today?

C | maybe. we don't have plans. i might invite her over.

you walk upstairs and sit on your bed. you call dixie and she picks up.

you walk back downstairs and payton had woke up.

N | oh, guys. we can go back.

y/n | we have a lot of planning to do. we can't cut ANY corners. we need to plan out every last minute of this trip.

y/n | we'll start planning monday.
