the nurse came back in.

nurse | it's great to see you awake. so can you draw a clock for me.

she hands you an iPad and a pen. you draw a clock and she rolls her chair next to you.

nurse | do you know what happened?

y/n | not really.

nurse | you hit your head on the side of the pool and passed out. you could have drown if it wasn't for your boyfriend.

y/n | he's not my boyfriend.

nurse | okay.. well anyways, you are going to have migraines if you are in a loud area. try to stay away from physical activity that would cause shaking of your head. we put stitches in the back of your head. they get taken out in 2 weeks. be very careful while showering, brushing your hair, or putting it up. your best option would be to shower once a week and keep your hair pulled back in a bun or braids.

y/n | okay... so i can't go on a run?

nurse | i wouldn't

y/n | okay.

nurse | well i'll get your medicine and then i'll get you checked out.

y/n | thank you.

the nurse walk out and dixie noah and nick are standing around your bed.

D | i'm sorry.

N | are you okay?

No | how are you feeling?

y/n | yeah. i'm fine. how long have you guys been here.

D | all night.

y/n | you guys could have went back. you didn't have to wait up for me.

D | of course we were going to stay.

N | i couldn't go back anyway.

you grab nick's hand. he looks down then back up at you and smiles. you talk with everyone for a bit. you decide to stay another night or so at riverside. Charli chase and payton were going to come up tomorrow. the nurse walks back in.

nurse | here are your meds. take them every morning until this container is gone. just take aspirin or tylenol for headaches.

she hands it to nick and helps you out of bed. you walk to the car and you sit in the back with nick. you are shivering.

N | are you cold.

y/n | i'm okay.

he takes off his sweatshirt and hands it to you.

N | here.

y/n | no nick it's okay.

N | i insist. put it on.

you smile and put it on. it's super soft in the inside. when you get back to riverside you go back to o your room. you noah nick and dixie watch The Fuck It List on Netflix. Dixie and Noah head to bed. you and nicks sit there in your phones for a long time.

N | hey.

y/n | hey.

he doesn't say anything. you look up at him.

y/n | what?

he laughs nervously. you sit up and face him.

N | hi.

y/n | hi.

N | i'm sorry.

y/n | for what?

N | hurting you.

y/n | you didn't hurt me. that wasn't your fault.

N | it kinda was.

you put your hand on his cheek.

y/n | it's okay.

he smiles. you make strong eye contact with him. it reminds you of summer. when you were working for minimum wage but having the time of your life. two teenagers in love. sneaking out for midnight walks. before you knew it the space between your lips was gone. nick had his hands on your face while you had you hands on his sides. it made you feel all warm inside. you put your hands under her shirt. you make out for a like 3 minutes then look back at each other. you wrap your arms around his and bury your face in his neck. you kiss his neck and he rubs your back. you make your way up to your room and head to bed in each other's arms.
