Let's skip a few years.
Now, sharing a bedroom with your sister has its ups and downs, and I think this applies to everyone with siblings.
There often seemed to be downs following the ups. But, you know, every silver lining had a grey cloud within...
For example-
Happy bonding time playing with dolls together.
Leading to-
Snatching the dolls off of each other and someone ends up crying.
We haven't always been cat-and-mouse, though. Growing up with someone with shared interests to you allows you to appreciate what it is like to have a life-long companion. A sibling is different to a friend. You know they will be with you no matter what. They kind of have to. Some might see it as being 'stuck together'. I see it as always having someone by your side through thick and thin, because you know that whatever happens between you two, you always make up in the end.
Now, back to the story.
Up until about aged two, we lived in a small terraced house in Old Town, followed by moving to a quieter area until we were four.
We had this massive (well, it seemed pretty big to a three year old) dress-up box with long, silky princess dresses and tiny plastic stilettos, a.k.a, 'clip-clops'.
We used to walk down the narrow staircase after making a complete mess of our lilac room to show our Mum and Dad our creations.
Good times.
I remember my disappointing attempts to tie my shoe laces. My face in full concentration, and eventually failing the bunny-ear method (what else do you expect from a three year old?).
I remember having Teletubbies on video tape (I know, TAPE!!), along with the constant requests to play it on repeat. I think we were a tad obsessed with Teletubbies. We had a 'Tubby-Toast' cutter, for God's sake.
I remember going to Play Group while both my parents worked, and getting a black-eye from this girl called Sabrina. I took her toy bus when she left it unattended and she hit me in the frigging eye!
Like I said, "Good Times".
But, Mia has stuck with me and helped my through some tough and regretful times, and I thank her. Thank you Mia...
That's if she ever reads this.
If I ever tell her I wrote this.
