A Deadly Bewray

CHAPTER X

   Their friends funeral was a few days after the incident. All their families and friends gathered for them. In front of the crowd were Oliver and Abigail, dressed in black crying with their families. Some people said that they were too young, others said that they were real heroes and the others said that was Aby and Oliver's fault. Many people with many opinions but for nothing because the four were dead.

Layla, Justin, Dylan and Kyle were buried next to each other so they can continue their friendship in haven.

Years passed, and the couple got married and they had a child. Her name is Kayla in the memory of their lost friends. She have her mother's eyes, father's hair and a curiosity as both together.

Today, is her 9th birthday, she will probably spend her time with her parents as always but at the moment she is at school, at the History class.

"Children, today you will not do the next class because Mrs Spencer is sick, so you can go home earlier." Everybody was very happy except Kayla, she thinks about how she will get home because she leaves far from her school and her parents are at work. "I have some money, I can take a bus to home." she thinks.

After she gets out of school, some girls full of air and graces come to her.

"Hey, Bayla, what do you have in your hands?" asks one of the girls.

"It's Kayla ..and this are my money for the bus, because I don't know if my parents can pick me up at this hour."

"Oh, poor you, it would be so sad for you to not pick up the bus." says another.

"Yeah." says the other and they all start laughing in unison.

Suddenly one of the girls pushes her and she falls down dropping her money on the ground. The first girl bends down and picks them.

"Hey, those are my money, I want them back!" says Kayla with a lump in her throat.

"Your money, I found them on the ground so they are mine now."

"Bye, bye irksome kid!" says one of the girls laughing. Then all of them go while Kayla was crouched and crying. Her leg was bleeding so she goes to the school nurse, after that she decides to spend the rest of her time waiting for her parents in the park. The girl starts to swing on the swing when suddenly an old lady comes in front of her, slowly approaching her.

"Hey, beautiful kid, why are you pouting?" asks her nicely.

"I'm fine, just waiting for my parents, but excuse me lady, do I know you?"

"No, but I know you."

"Mommy and Daddy told me to not talk to strangers."

"But I'm not a stranger, your parents know me very well."

"Let's say that I believe you, what do you want from me ?"

"Tell me, little girl, do you like dragons? "

"Yeah! I love them. "

"How about we play a game then... ."
