A Deadly Bewray

CHAPTER IX

  Seeing Justin on the floor, Dylan rushes to the guy that hit him and tackles him on the ground. He gets up and hits hooded maniacs left and right, receiving punches as well. He sees his friend Oliver rushing up the stairs and no trace of Kyle around when suddenly he hears him screaming his name.

  "KYLE!! Hold up buddy. I'm coming." He runs to the garage and finds his friend being pinned to the ground by one guy, while the other was using a knife to carve his skin. Dylan quickly scans the area for something and he sees a crowbar next to a wall. He goes for it but another man tries to stop him. He puts his hand on Dylan's shoulder to turn him around but he grabs the attacker's hand and throws him on the floor. He picks up the crowbar, smashes the head of the previous attacker and goes straight for his friend that was still screaming in agony. He hits the head of the guy with the knife, which then he takes to stab the other.

 "Are you alright?" asks Dylan as he kneels down to help him.

 "I'm fine, don't worry about me." says Kyle, trying to reassure him.

  "No you're not, you're bleeding so much! Here." he says as he takes off his shirt and rips it to cover the wound. "That should do for now. Stay here while I try to stop these fools." as he says that, his muscles tense up from the anger, showing how ripped he was. Kyle stares for a second and he needs to shake his head to get out of that mesmerized state he was in. His eyes follow Dylan as he jumps from enemy to enemy. Having the crowbar in his hands, head after head was smashed, covering the garage floor in a thick layer of blood, while his naked torso was getting more and more bruised. As he was fighting he didn't see the man coming up behind him with a knife but in the last second...

 "What was that?" says Dylan as he hears a flop sound behind. "No... " Turning around he sees his friend lying on the floor with a knife implanted in his chest. "NOOO!!" He punches the guy that stabbed Kyle and kills him and the other two guys that were in the same room with the crowbar. He goes back to his dying pal and he let his tears fall, which he has so far retained.. "Don't leave me like this. This isn't happening!"

  "I was... so excited... for that concert... " says Kyle, coughing after almost every word. "I'm glad that... you showed me you care and... that your face... will be the last thing I see" says him as a tear rolls down his face.

  "No... don't say that! I was supposed to protect you! This... this is all my fault. I'll never forgive myself for this!" slamming his fists on the floor.

 "It's okay..." says Kyle with his last breath, as he struggles to lift his hand up to Dylan's face, caressing his cheek. "I forgive you for everything... ". His hand flops on the ground as his head falls to the side. Suddenly the whole house seemed so quiet, the only hearable noise being Dylan's crying hiccups. As he looks at his friend he feels something hard hitting his head from behind. He falls on top of Kyle, blacking out slowly. "I'm sorry I failed you all... I tried my best". His thought fades away along with his last breath and the only thing you could hear is the bloody steps of the killer, slowly leaving the room.

  Justin gets up, but he can barely make a move, as one of those masked men rushes over him, slamming him to the ground. In order to save her Romeo, Layla takes a shard of glass from the floor and stabs the attacker in his neck while he's focusing on killing Justin, then she helps him to get up. While Justin is fighting with another strange man, someone else comes to them and Layla, enraged and scared at the same time, trying to proiect their lives, grabs an umbrella with which she hits the hulk with all her strength, but it didn't help her. She's literally frightened of this enormous muscleman who's standing in front of her with a serial killer's smile on his face, then sees Justin behind the man, smiles at him, throws the umbrella and shouts:
