✎ᝰ "it's him not reading my mind enough for me." mattia told robert, watching kairi look away from him blushing.
"staring at him isn't gonna get you anywhere ya know." robert warned.
"i know-" mattia said, cutting himself off after looking kairi's way.
"well if i were you, i would say something before he does." robert mumbled looking at hunter who was currently at kairi's table. mattia scoffed shoving the stale fries in his mouth before looking away.
meanwhile
"who's he simping over?" hunter questioned sitting next to alejandro, startling kairi. he hadn't talked to hunter since their last altercation.
"none of your business now leave." alvaro retorted, resulting in hunter dryly chuckling.
"i'm sure kairi doesn't want me to leave, don't you princess?" hunter cockily asked, knowing kairi wouldn't resist him.
hunter was kairi's first love, he would always have a place in his heart for him, always. he was also his first heartbreak. kairi's world completely fell apart after hunter. hunter had the poor boy wrapped around his finger, he could do anything to him and get away with because kairi loved him that much. he wanted hunter's attention and validation more than anything.
kairi nodded his head no, letting hunter intertwine their hands across the table. hunter smirked at him, glad he still had this affect on kairi.
alvaro shook his head in disappointment and looked at alejandro who was already looking at him, sharing the same disappointment. they both knew how this was going to end for kairi, again.
"be my date to the senior bonfire tonight, yeah baby?" hunter asked, his thumb and pointer finger under kairi's chin forcing him to look at him.
kairi quickly nodded, always thinking with his heart instead of his head when it came to hunter.
hunter simply smiled and left, leaving kairi flustered and excited to have his attention again.
"please don't look at me like that." kairi softly mumbled, looking at the disappointed faces both alvaro and alejandro were looking at him with.
"we just started to be on good terms again, please don't let him ruin our friendship again, kai." alvaro pleaded.
he had just gotten kairi back and he didn't want to lose him to hunter again. better yet, he didn't want kairi to lose himself over him again.
he was aware of the unhealthy attachment kairi had to hunter. he had tried his best to be there for kairi every time hunter broke his heart and be supportive but he didn't have it in him anymore. last time he went off on kairi and said some inconsiderate things that resulted into them not being on speaking terms until recently.
he wanted to be supportive, he really did but enough was enough. he didn't want to see this version of kairi that always came out when he was with hunter. he refused to let kairi fall into the deep depression that always came after hunter had his way with him.
alvaro sighed as kairi got up from their table and walked out with tears streaming down his face.
it's not like he wanted to be a feen for him.
