✎ᝰ the thing kairi was dreading the most had approached rather more quickly than he had expected it too. yeah — he was expecting it but he didn't think it would happen this soon.
both boys laid in kairi's bed, making out, after hunter had received a text from the smaller informing him that he would in fact be home alone for the rest of the day. hunter wouldn't miss the opportunity to have kairi all to himself; alone.
"mmm, hunter stop please." kairi mumbled, pushing off the dirty blonde on top of him whom was technically attacking his sensible neck with no remorse.
don't get it wrong, kairi liked the affection that he was receiving but he knew this would lead to one thing to another — something he was completely uncomfortable with and not mentally prepared for.
he didn't want hunter to get the wrong idea, it wouldn't be fair to him so he stopped him from going any further; like he always innocently did.
"hunter i said stop, please." kairi practically begged as hunter blatantly ignored him and continued giving him hickeys, now fumbling with the waistband & strings on kairi's sweatpants.
"please," he insisted again, gently pushing back on his boyfriend's shoulders trying his best to get him off. hunter finally got off, rolling his eyes.
kairi had scooted backwards and was now sitting up against his headboard, wiping his mouth and fixing himself, trying his best to avoid the tears that were already forming.
he was waiting for hunter to say something, he was practically preparing for the unbearable heart break that he was used to at this point when it came to hunter.
hunter wanted more from kairi, he wanted kairi in ways kairi himself was not ready for. he was not ready to give himself to someone, and hunter could never understand that no matter how many times kairi had stopped him from going any further with him.
the idea of having someone seeing him completely vulnerable and naked, absolutely scared kairi. especially that person being hunter, all he did was point out everything kairi hated about himself. kairi couldn't even imagine what other harsh things hunter would say about his body with it being out in the open for him to criticize.
it was something kairi wasn't willing to put himself through no matter how much he loved hunter, no matter how many times hunter would leave him because of it. he would come back to him anyways like he always did — absurdly toxic.
"look, i'm just gonna go okay?" hunter sighed while putting back his shirt on, surprisingly not wanting to upset kairi any longer.
"i'm sorry." kairi mumbled looking down, messing with the strings on his sweats.
"i know you are." hunter remarked, leaning down to press a kiss on kairi's forehead. he did this to guilt him, to make kairi feel bad when he shouldn't. anyone else could see that, kairi couldn't.
"yetyou always do this to me.you're not ready and i get that — but i can't hold out and wait for you to come around and finally decide you're ready. just text me when you decide to grow up." hunter said, leaving kairi crying in his room alone wondering if he was childish for wanting to save himself for someone who actually appreciated him.
someone who would accept that he just simply wasn't ready for that and would be willing to wait for him no matter how long it took.
he just wished he could give hunter what he wanted, maybe he would stick around for longer. but that wouldn't happen until kairi learned how to love himself, genuinely love every part of himself.
