"At least tell me where she is or what she's getting."

"She's running a little errand for me. Once she gets what I want, you can leave. Happy?" He replied.

"What, you couldn't be bothered getting it yourself?" I teased.

"Ah, well the thing is, your Doctor strangely enjoys running from laser strikes and being held at gunpoint, whereas I actually have a conscience and prefer to you know, not get killed."

"Oh, so you're scared?"

"No." He said quickly then a minute after shrugged. "I just have common sense."

Suddenly, the Master shot up from his seat and turned away.

"Contact." I heard him whisper gently and paced further away so that I couldn't hear him.
However, I could I hear. And I listened intently.

I was aware that this was their fun, little way of communicating with each other and I hoped in the process of their discussion, the Master would accidentally spill some information on the Doctor's whereabouts.

He leaned a hand against the control panel. "I assume the reason for this, is to tell me you have it, yes?"

His voice was muffled, and I had to strain my ears to make out the faded words, nevertheless the tang of desperation was very much present.

"Just checking in?" He questioned loudly. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

I huffed a laugh despite the dire situation I was still stuck in.

"No I haven't eaten her." He complained. "No, no.....NO, GOD I'M NOT THAT BAD!"

Surprisingly, this reminded me of a phone call I had with my dad a while back. Although the eating part wasn't involved in it. Obviously.

"She's alive and well, so don't start your whining now or I might just change my mind."

The Doctor and him could be mistaken for an old married couple if it weren't for all the death threats, I thought.

"Okay, okay....I won't. Just hurry up, alright. I can't deal with....humans very well, you know that. Or at least you should by now."

I sighed. "Can you please tell me where she is?" I pleaded.

"I think the human said something." The Master murmured, ignoring my presence.

The Doctor spoke again, unfortunately I couldn't hear her side of the conversation. If only, I thought.

".........Alright, sorry, Yaz said something."

I doubt I would be acknowledged any time soon.

"Well it's hard to keep track of them all nowadays. You have like 10 now or something ridiculous like that....." He sighed.

"Alright that was a bit of an exaggeration. Not by much though............okay........right......I'm going to go now because your voice is starting to irritate me........yeah see you soon, Doctor." He spat the last word with disgust and then spun back round to face me.

"She gets pretty annoying sometimes, doesn't she." He stated.

Not half as annoying as you though, I thought to myself.
