UGH I was supposed to upload this a while ago but, I couldn't because my computer was being ultra special. :/

RECAP:

Jacob furrowed his eyebrows, “What? What do you mean?”

Seth laughed, knowing that if his slip up would get him in trouble, and patted Jacob on the back. “Hey, what Sam doesn’t know, won’t hurt him right? C’mon I saved you a spot, they’re starting…” He flashed his pearly whites as he led both Bella and Jacob back to the bon fire.

Both Seth and Bella sat down with ease on the old decaying log and turned to the elders in front of them. Jacob, though, as he sat he felt a pair of eyes staring at him in such a dissecting manner, it made him shiver. He planted his bum to the rough dirt and looked up at Macy. As soon as their eyes made contact she immediately looked away, but Jacob’s brown orbs never left her face.

I scooted closer to Embry as the bonfire story began.

“Remember,” Embry started, “This is all…um… fictional.”

I nodded my head and waved him off, “Yeah, duh, now shush… it’s starting!”

The crowds hushed chattered ceased once Billy opened his mouth.

“The Quileutes have been a small tribe from he beginning, but we have always had magic in our blood.” Billy’s voice carried in the dark as the flames left luminous shadows on his tanned face, “We were great spirit warriors. Shape shifters that transformed into the powerful wolf… this enabled us to scare off our enemies and protect our tribe.”

“One day, our warriors came across a creature. It looked like a man, but it was hard as stone. And cold like ice. It killed many of our spirit warriors and innocent people. Our warriors’ sharp teeth finally tore it apart, but only fire could destroy it completely.” I sat there unmoving as I was drenched with the artistic rhythmic beat of the chief’s voice, “They lived in fear that the cold man was not alone, and they were right to feel this way… for the cold man had a mate…”

“She took her revenge out on the village. Our elder chief, Taha Aki, was the only spirit warrior left after his son was killed. As the battle between the cold woman and Taha Aki commenced Taha Aki’s third wife could see that he would lose in the battle. The third wife was no magical being with no special powers but one; courage.” The word seemed to echo through the bonfire before Billy continued. I had a small shiver running down my spine as I listen on.

“The third wife’s sacrifice to distract the cold woman worked. She saved the village, she was the true hero. Over time our enemies disappeared, all gone but one…our magic awakens when they’re near. There is a threat among us, and we must be ready.”

“All of us.”

“Whoa,” I mumbled as the story ended. I turned to Embry and then to Seth who sat on my left. “I never thought story telling would be that interesting. Wow, I’m impressed…” From the corner of my eye I could see Paul come out with a fresh new box of hotdogs. I jumped from my seat to grab at it before the others got to it and devoured them.

“Hey, hey!” Paul protested, “You guys already had some…” He complained, referring to the rest of us.

“So did you, fatty.” Scoffed Quil as he stuffed his face with one hotdog.

“So Macy,” a voice among the chatter piped. I turned my head slowly towards Jacob and furrowed my eyebrows, “H-How was the b-bonfire for you?” He asked.

The last time I talked to Jacob, I had been rejected by him just after returning his affectionate kiss. He didn't even said he liked or loved me, he said he fucking ‘cared’, the hell was that supposed to mean? I care for you and what’s worse, it was only as a sister. What I hate the most about this is that after this happened I went home and cried about it…like a little wimp.

I had to keep myself from emotional and Jake walked over to me. “It was fine.” I answered curtly when I noticed Bella step from behind him.

When I spotted the others walking off, I quickly jumped from my spot and went to go after them.

“Wait, Macy!” A hand grasped my wrist and pulled me back. With a surprising expression, I looked at Bella. I stared down at her pale hand that seemed to have seized my arm with such force and glance back at the face of this Swan. She offered me a nervous smile and slowly removed her hand from me. “Um…” She began, “Why don’t you stay a while…?”
