Since DA had been caught and Dumbledore left the school had become complete chaos, both students and teachers seemed to be doing their best to run Umbridge ragged, Draco however loved his new power, awarding me points for doing the smallest things. I had kept looking out for Harry though, nudging him in the right direction, and out of trouble. Although I couldn't help it when he saw his dad bulling Snape, I had walked in on it and Snape was furious, I didn't blame either of them, but since then neither of them had put out the effort to continue the lessons. After the carrier notice went up I mentally groaned. Why was this always a question? Both Snape and I knew it was pointless, after this year I would disappear. I trudged down to his office. Expecting to just sit and talk, like we did during detention, but when I reached his office, Umbridge sat in the corner.
"Ummm no offense but what are you doing here?" I asked her eyeing her.
"Headmaster Umbridge wished to sit in," Snape said, "Sit," I rolled my eyes, I really hated his attitude.
"So, Percy, what do you want to do?" He asked and I sighed I guess I'd have to play along
"I don't really know, sir" I teased, might as well have fun with it. He grimaced slightly, "I'm not really that good with any specific form of magic," I said casually, "Maybe I'll become Headmaster," I leaned back in my chair. Umbridge chocked, Snapes face twisted his eyes flashing a warning, and yet he was struggling not to laugh, "I mean at first I thought the job was hard and only a calm and collect person with high education could get it, but then I took a closer look and it seems that I've grossly overestimated the workload, you just have to manage a bunch of teachers," I shrugged and placed my hands behind my head, "How hard could that be?" I asked smugly. Snape coughed, clearly trying hard not to laugh. I could hear the steam coming off of Umbridge. Umbridge had enough obviously and did her little cough, I ignored her.
"What courses would I need? I figured as long as I pass my exams, I'll be good? Well most of them anyway?" I asked still not sure how this system worked, Umbridge coughed again but I talked over her, "So I'd figure I'd need to take some electives, enough to fill a schedule" Umbridge flat out interrupted me
"Mr. Jackson, I do believe you have grossly underestimated my position, I am-"
"Oh! Sorry Headmaster I forgot you were there!" I said spinning around, "Perhaps you could tell me better of what I would need to get your position," She opened her mouth but I cut her off, tilting my head to the side, "Now that I think about it though, I do believe that wouldn't do much good, you came into the position rather unconventionally, didn't you. I'm not too good at kissing feet, but I could give it a go," 'A go'? Geez, I was starting to sound like these Scottish people.
"Well Mr. Jackson I do believe that you have much to think about, I'll call you back later to finalize your schedule," Snape said quickly dismissing me. I frowned.
"Ah, you're right, anyways thank you, Headmaster, you are a great example," I said before quickly shutting the door. I smiled please with myself.
