Even from birth everyone knew she was special
She was beautiful and she felt it too
"Oh she's precious!" Everyone exclaimed
"She'll be a heartbreaker!" They stated
And that's what she started to believe

She had a way about her that screamed confidence
The power in her step, the height of her chin
"She's a cutie!" Everyone said
"I wish I could be her!"
And that's what she started to believe

Her full lips and glistening hair made her tower above the other girls
She was like a life-sized doll and people took notice
"Man, she's hot!" The boys yelled
"I wish I could get THAT!" They whispered to each other
And she started to believe she should

She gave herself to anyone who threw her a compliment
Not able to resist the usual attention, and people took notice
"Dude she's such a whore!" Everyone whispered
"What happened to the good girl she used to be?" People asked
And she started wondering the same thing

She fell, deeper and deeper into herself
And eventually it began to show
"God what happened to her?" They asked
"She used to be so beautiful." They all said
And she knew they were right

She'd lost herself, and couldn't find her way back
She'd lost that flare that everyone loved, adored
She lost who she thought she was for so long
She lost what made her special
