The morning was shining through the glass windows of the mansion. Birds spoke in their mysterious chirps and leaves whispered secrets into the wind. At least, that's how Vanya felt that morning. She didn't know anything about him, yet she trusted him with all her heart. How could that happen to a person? To release their entire trust onto someone they can barely know. It felt right though, falling into Five's arms yesterday. It was completely, most utterly right. Perhaps, it was the best decision Vanya ever decided to make.
Her heart fluttered the entire day at the thought of seeing Five. She changed into her uniform and washed in one of the 19 bathrooms that the building held. She immediately skipped to Five's room. There he was, tying his tie in the mirror (tying his tie... kinda weird but didn't know what else to do). He glanced over at the door, where Vanya stood with her cheeks and lips perfectly pink. He smiled back, and his face flushed too. He walked over and kissed Vanya on the lips before grabbing her hand to go downstairs.
"Come on, Vanya," Five said, "You're mine now." Vanya beamed. She was his, and he was hers. When they neared the breakfast table, Vanya glanced at him. Her eyes asked if Five wanted to let go of her hand if he was embarrassed or whatnot. Five just held her hand tighter. He wasn't going to let go.
The two came down holding hands to breakfast. The other siblings' eyes went round. Five was holding hands with Vanya. Sarcastic, emotionless Five was holding hands with powerless, quiet Vanya.
"Aw, that's so sweet. You finally became Vanya's friend!" Klaus exclaimed sarcastically. Ben elbowed him in his ribs. Klaus moaned and kicked Ben under the table. Ben just glared at him at started to read his book.
Five and Vanya sat down, diagonal from each other as always. Grace came into the dining room and put smiley-faced pancakes in front of each child and Reginald. As always, she kept her tall poise and beaming face as she walked back out of the dining room. No one dared move.
Then, Reginald took his first bite and the children began to eat. Once, when they were little, the children immediately started eating the delicious pancakes and they were each scolded by Reginald. Five yelled back, Klaus and Ben ran into their rooms, Luther threw a tantrum, and Allison and Vanya cried. From that day on, they never did anything before Reginald's orders. Well, except, in terms of social interaction between themselves, the children did what they wanted. Some more than others.
Five grabbed Vanya's hand under the table. It felt so nice to have someone to love like this. To trust with one's entire being. Both Five and Vanya blushed.
Once breakfast was over, the children were dismissed and were to have 30 minutes of free time before training started again. Five and Vanya both went up to Vanya's room this time and sat on her bed.
"How come you didn't tell me before that you liked me?" Five asked, "I waited a long time for you to do that." Five looked back at Vanya with a questioning smile.
"You only know something when you know it. Not a minute before," Vanya replied, "Wouldn't it have been worse if I knew this a week or a year from now?" (#renewannewithane). Five sighed and smiled.
Five blushed, "I'm just thinking it would've been better if we had spent more time together." Vanya nodded.
"I do so too."
They looked at each other one more time and kissed each other. It wasn't a childish peck anymore. The kiss was deep and long. They wanted more of each other and they couldn't stop. Longing for one another for years, without even knowing it. They stopped when they were gasping for air and looked at each other.
RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG the alarm for training rang loud and clear. Vanya and Five jumped on the bed. Even after years of hearing the bell, it still caught them off-guard. Five kissed Vanya one last time before going out to the courtyard to start training along with his five other super-powered siblings. Once again, Vanya was alone.
