Heads up! There is some language and gore in here so skip it if u wanna!!!!!

Vanya's eyes fluttered open as she gained consciousness from her deep sleep. She looked out the window and saw the afternoon sun drifting in. She looked down to see Five's fingers interlaced between hers. His neck curved over her hair and his other arm was around her waist. She yawned and cuddled into Five. He hugged her harder. Vanya felt safe in his arms and softly kissed his cheek. Five was still in dreamland. His breathing was still at its steady rhythm and his cheeks remained blushed. Vanya smiled. He looked adorable in his sleep.

"Vanya...?" Minutes later, Five groaned as he woke up.

"Shhh shhh... I'm here..." Vanya kissed his lips. Five sighed and relaxed as his lips met Vanya's again. He smiled. He brushed her hair with his fingers and held her head closer. The dinner bell rang and the two pulled apart from each other.

Five went down and Vanya trodded after him. All the other children were also coming to the dinner table. They sat down as Reginald ordered them to sit. As they raised their forks to eat, a loud banging was heard on the door. All the children jumped in their seats. Vanya instantly reached for Five's hand and he held it tightly. He was nervous too.

Reginald calmly stood up and went to the door. When he opened it, he was met by a flurry of bullets. Loud bangs filled the mansion. The children stood up quickly at the loud sounds. They heard a thud. Five pushed Vanya behind him protectively. Vanya held Five's waist tightly, shaking with fear. Not for herself, but for Five. She loved him too much to let go, yet they still didn't know what had happened.

The hard stomping of shoes was heard as the intruders walked down the corridor. Everyone tensed up, ready to fight. People wearing gas masks and suits holding machine guns stepped into the room. They started firing. All the children ran out of the room.

"WHO ARE THESE GUYS?" Diego yelled.

"DO YOU THINK I KNOW?" Five yelled back over the gunfire. He held Vanya's hand tightly as he ran, covering their heads.

Diego suddenly skidded to a stop and threw a knife. One of the eight men crumpled to the ground. He continued to run. Allison and Luther were running side by side until Luther ran back and threw one of the men to the wall. The man stood back up after a good ten minutes.

"SHIT!" Luther yelled. It was Allison's turn.

"I heard a rumor... that you stopped-" Allison was cut off as one of the men held her by the neck.

"NOOOOO!" Luther turned back and punched the man with all his might. The man flew back, dropping Allison. She lay on the ground and gasped for air.

"Are you okay?" Luther helped Allison to her feet. She hugged him for a split second before running to the stairs. Klaus was still downstairs standing in front of the men. It was his time. He had to help his family. He focused on his goal. His hands started glowing with blue light. Then, dozens of spirits of dead military people were summoned from the dead. His siblings yelled at him to get back up to the second floor. Instead, Klaus threw all his might together and the spirits charged. One by one, the masked intruders went down. Klaus ran back up the stairs to his family. There was silence. Blood of the men seeped from their bodies onto the marble floor.

"Dad..." Luther suddenly remembered and he sprinted to the main door. The others followed him. They saw him lying on the floor, eyes glazed with death. A pool of blood was growing around him. Luther dropped on his knees and cried.

"It's about time that shithead died," Diego said loudly. Luther stood back up and punched him in the stomach. Diego stumbled back but continued to stand his ground.

"LOOK AT WHAT HE'S DONE TO US!" Diego yelled, "HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO LIVE! HE WAS A FATHER WHO DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS CHILDREN! WHAT KIND OF SHITTY DAD IS THAT?!" Diego was flushed with rage. Five teleported behind Luther and held him back.

"Luther, don't stress it. The old man is dead. It was gonna happen eventually," Five scolded. Vanya gently rubbed Luther's backs.

"It's ok, Luther. I under-" Vanya was cut off by Luther.

"NO, YOU DON'T KNOW. YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND!" Luther yelled back at Vanya, "You probably don't even know about how he wasn't mean to anyone. He never wanted anything bad. I'm Number One. He just wanted to utilize our powers to the fullest, unlike you." Vanya was taken aback.

"I'm sorry..." Vanya sniffed as tears slipped down her cheek. It was always that. She was ordinary. No matter who said she was special and exceptional, it always came back to being ordinary. No powers. Vanya cried silently. She hated herself for this. Five ran to Vanya and hugged her.

"YOU TAKE THAT BACK YOU PIECE OF SHIT! SHE IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU COMBINED! MAYBE YOU, LUTHER, SHOULD STOP BEING SUCH AN ASSHOLE! YO-," Five stopped as he heard thumping from above them. Dozens of boots drummed along the old floorboards above them. The children stopped and waited. Vanya laced her fingers in Five's tightly. Five held her in his arms as firmly as he could. Klaus hugged Ben, shivering with fear. They heard them thumping down the stairs towards them.
