Vanya helped Five walk down the stairs to get breakfast. They looked toward the kitchen. Vanya winced. The men she killed the other day were still there, their blood was dry on the marble floor.

"Ow, " Five groaned.

"Oh, I'm sorry," She shifted more of his weight onto herself, "Is this better?"

Five nodded, still clearly in pain, but better. Vanya moved slowly, at Five's pace.

"Wait," Five tried to teleport across the room. He put in all his might to put his consciousness into the space time continuum to jump across the room. His hands emitted a blue light and waved into a tesseract. He couldn't do it. The pain was too immense and he had no energy.

"COME ON!" Five flew into a rage and tried over and over again. It didn't work. He couldn't teleport. He sank into the living room couch, head in his hands. Vanya silently walked over to him and patted his back. He was still shaking from anger. Then, the tears exploded. Five was crying.

Vanya was taken aback. She had never seen Five cry before. Even when they were kids. He was stone-cold, except around her. He was so warm-hearted on the inside. It's true that time-travel is what defined him all his life. She vividly remembered the day Five first teleported.

It was a bright day, with clouds like wisps of hair. All her siblings were training when they were 4 years-old. Surprisingly, everyone knew how to utilize their powers except Five. He was running over the obstacle courses with his siblings. Vanya watched silently as her siblings jumped over hurdles and climbed over walls. All of them proved to be efficient in adapting to their new environment. Luther pushed many of the obstacles out of his way and climbed over the wall. Diego used his knive's as holds on the wall to climb more easily. Though Allison couldn't utilize her power in this setting, she still managed to get over the obstacles quickly due to her quick-thinking. Klaus used his power to get the dead to lift him over the obstacles. He was like a luxurious king being carried by his servants. (yes I know he was scared of the dead at this point too... but still, I thought this would be funny ( •̀ ω •́ )✧). Now, it was Five's turn. He took a deep breath before Reginald yelled START! Five ran as quickly as he could over the hurdles and pillars. It was time to go over the wall. And Five did somethings extraordinary. He zapped out of sight. Vanya was confused. Her best friend was gone? As a lump started to form in her throat, Five reappeared on the other side of the wall. He was dazed and so was Vanya. He turned in a full circle before locking eyes with Vanya. He smiled at her, proud of what he did. Vanya smiled back wryly because she had just lost her best friend who wasn't special. He was ordinary like her, until he became like her other siblings. That's when their friendship started to crumble. Inevitably, Five spent more time with his other super-powered siblings. Though he still said hello to Vanya from time to time, Vanya felt as though she had lost her life, until new feelings started forming when she was 11. Five also felt it. They had matured and grown to understand that they weren't kids anymore. Friends become girlfriends and boyfriends. And bullies become archenemies. There is no longer good or bad people. Everyone is just people. However, Five and Vanya had enough luck to have fate with someone close to them.

Vanya hugged Five tightly, careful not to touch his wound. Five cried into her arms for a few minutes before pulling himself back together.

"Hey Vanya. I need to be alone right now, can you leave me here?" Five said quietly.

"Oh... sure... call me if y-," Vanya decided it was best not to speak anymore. She stood up from the couch and went back upstairs. Vanya Hargreeves. Always and forever an outcast.
