You felt overwhelmed with emotion that you were going to work with XO; not to mention, Jennie was really proud of you which added to your euphoria. You quickly excused yourself and went to the washroom to calm down a little.

You were bursting with energy and couldn't help pumping your fist once you'd locked the door behind you, letting out all the excitement so you could keep your cool when you went back to Jennie. You tidied your hair in the mirror, smoothed out your shirt and joined her at the table again.

You got along great with Jennie; all the awkwardness from the past situation now felt like it was actually in the past; your personalities clicked well so conversation flowed naturally and you could just be yourself. Jennie was friendly and easy to talk to just like Chaeyoung, except you could feel this extra bit of spark in the air once in a while that was different and exciting.

When you two finished your bubble tea Jennie headed to the door instead of the counter. A little annoyed, you went over to the counter to pay for both of you but Hyojin said you didn't have to worry about it.

"Thank you so much ma'am, that's very kind" you said.

"Thank her" she said, pointing to Jennie who was smiling and waiting by the door. "She was really sneaky and paid quick while you were in the washroom."

You put your arm around Jennie as you stepped out of the café which made her giggle. The YG building was back down the alley, and you two walked back together to where your car was parked and Jennie's mom was supposed to pick her up.

"I can give you a ride home if you like" you offered.

"Thanks Y/N, actually I'd love that but my mom is already on her way."

"Oh gotcha."

"But we definitely need to do this again sometime" she said, turning towards you and shrugging her shoulder a little girlishly.

"You know it! I'm actually free tomorrow, what's your schedule like?" You hadn't meant to come off as over-excited, you'd just had such a great time with her that it was hard not to be.

"Oh, tomorrow is going to be busy. We have an early dance practice and then a Vogue photoshoot that will probably take up the rest of the day. I'm sorry Y/N but as soon as I get a chance I'll make time to see you again."

"Yeah no worries Jen, I know how busy it gets sometimes. I'm busy but I'm just producing, with all the different parts of your job I don't know how you manage sometimes."

Jennie's mouth opened suddenly. "Oh! That reminds me I still haven't found someone to look after Kai and Kuma!"

"Kai and Kuma?" you asked.

Jennie nodded. "Yeah, Kuma's my dog and Kai is my ex-boyfriend-"

"What?!" you exclaimed.

"Yeah, what?!" Jennie exclaimed as well, scowling at the author. "Author, that's not what I said! Please correct it!"

A/N: Sorry Jennie I couldn't help it. Ok fine here ya go.

Jennie nodded. "Yeah, Kai and Kuma are my dogs. I can't take them with me and my mom is leaving town tomorrow ugh, I'm such an idiot."

"Hey I like dogs!" you said, wanting to help her out. "I'm free tomorrow anyway, I can look after them."

Jennie's eyes lit up and she smiled. "Really Y/N?? Oh that is so sweet of you, I'll pay you of course-"

"Not a chance Nini, come on we're not strangers are we? Of course you don't need to pay me. Especially not after your sneaky move at the bubble tea place" you laughed.
