Chapter 10

(End of their tour) a week later

Holly's POV:

Going to the boys shows brought Calum and I closer together, I wish it didn't have to end. My favorite part was when he fell asleep in my room with me, and I woke up to him holding me tightly. It made my heart swell, but I'd never tell him that. That's when I realized I was in too deep with him, no matter what, I'm going to get hurt.

This morning I decide to go down to the beach while everyone else sleeps. I just walk along the coast line, thinking about how much I'm going to miss this beautiful place when we leave. We have a little over a month left here, I wish I didn't have to leave. A sad song starts to play through my headphones, making me curse Pandora. I type away on my phone, not paying attention where I was walking. Suddenly I fly backwards on to the sand, not realizing I ran into someone.

"Oh shit I'm so sor- Holly?" Luke says. He scratches at the back of my neck as he towers over me.

"Oh hi Luke." He gives me his hand and pulls me up to my feet. "Thanks." I start to dust the sand off myself.

"You should really watch where you're going." He says with a laugh, then bites his lip. I laugh nervously, but don't answer him. "Here by yourself?" He asks after a few seconds of silence.

"Yeah, everyone is asleep, and you?" I fix my aviators and look up at him, since he's a giant.

"Also alone, they are all playing video games." I nod my head, it's weird talking to Luke without anyone else around. "Would you like some company?" He asks.

"Sure." We walk along the beach, laughing at each other. He tells me something funny about Calum and I can't wait to bring it up when I talk to him again. "Why have we barely talked before?" I ask looking at him. He furrows his brow.

"You're always with Calum." He says smugly. I smile nervously again. "He's going to hurt you." He states suddenly. The fun mood changing to intense. I just stare at him with a confused look, he sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "He's such a player Holly. I'm surprised he's been with just you for this long. Usually he just has flings, then moves on. It's going to happen sooner or later. I don't want you to end up like all the other girls, you deserve better." I'm shocked that he would talk about his best friend like this. He takes my hand in his, "Sure, he's a great guy as a friend, but he's going to hurt you and feel no remorse for it."

"Thank you Luke." I have no idea what else to say to him. Im shocked that he would tell me all this stuff. All I can grasp is that I like a player. I fucked up big time. But it's not suppose to be a serious thing, so why is Luke so concerned with us?

"Shit." Luke says, I look to where he's looking and see a few people with cameras watching us intently. Luke drops my hand and we speed walk in the opposite direction from the paparazzi.

Around lunch time I get a text from Calum that reads "What the fuck is this?" Attached is a picture of Luke holding my hand on the beach from earlier. Oh shit. I look on Twitter to see that they posted that Luke and I are a 'couple' and I'm in a love triangle with Luke and Calum. I'm in so much shit.

"HOLLY!?!" Kyra yells loudly.

"I already know." I groan. Throwing my phone to the other side of the room.

"What the fuck?" Lilly asks angrily.

"He grabbed my hand and told me that Calum is a player and he's going to fuck me over and feel no remorse for it and told me I deserve better than him." I say quickly. They all just look at me with blank expressions. "He was trying to comfort me, after we saw them he dropped my hand and we walked away." I put my head in my hands. "Now Calum is pissed off at me and I can't just tell him 'Your best friend called you a player and says I deserve better than you'."
