"Why don't you take dance up at a studio, with others who love it as much as you, Alexa?" Cameron asks, and I smile, continueing to strum along on my Cello, happy to see each of them happy, and feeling content, myself.

She blushes, and I cringe, knowing that uncomfortabel silence would soon pursue. Alexa responds, eyes closed, "Lack of funding."

    "I could pay."

"Cameron, are you insane?" I blurt, bewildered. My hands still, and I can't believe my own ears.

"Your friend has true talent that has gone unoticed, clearly. There is a business my family has owned for generations. I have some sway moneywise, but don't really have to do a whole lot of work right now for it. My older brother handles most of it, giving me my share. As an  Alpha, I get most of the proceeds."

Alexa runs up to the tower-like man and hugs him, her arms squeezing like a bear. He does his best to recipricate the hug, and I feel my heart melting. rather than silence, there is gratitude filling the atmosphere. I put my Cello away and go to Alexa's car to get my clothing.

I dig through the monsterous luggage bag, in Cameron's massive bathroom. I pull out my knee high laced up combat boots, a red fitted tank top and skinny jeans. I immediately feel the urge to hug my friend because I have been dying for pants, but also know she chose the very snug clothes strategically. Leave it to her to turn desperation for clothes into a romantic opportunity with strange boys!

When I rejoin them, Cameron has a mouthful of chicken stuffed in his mouth, as he heads out the front door, I imagine to finish patroling. He looks me up and down, a smirk quickly developing. With a wink, he leaves.

Alexa giggles, from the couch, with two plates of chicken cutlets next to her. One  of the plates is half empty. I take the other, plopping down next to her, and almost feel engulfed in the strong scent of rosemary.

"Oh, he is such a splendid cook!" Alexa bursts, elbowing me playfully in the side.

"Tell me something I don't know!"

"So how was last night, after I left?"

"I slept on the couch, once the sun rose, pretty much. I woke up and sat around for a little while before you showed up today."

"So you didn't turn back into a wolf?"

"I played flute pretty much all night. Which really, at the point, was just an hour or two once you left."

"Good thing your embochure has such stamina!"

"Tomorrow, you need to bring me at least two instruments, because I don't want to overplay one!"

"Fair enough, but I am not bringing anything three times my size! And you will definitely owe me one. Mr. Tate doesn't like sickos playing his instruments, prodigy or no!"

"How is a Cello lesson for payment?" i ask, a grin plastered to my face.

    "H*ll yeah!"
