It was strange to be home again, after being gone for so long form my house. The aloe plant on my bookshelf, fortunately, was still alive because it didn't usually require all that much water.
Alexa's parents drove us into town for blueberry pancakes before taking me home, late in the afternoon. I missed days like this, where I spent time with my best friend, even away from the music. I hope that as a werewolf, I can still live this life. I am not ready to give all I have away for the forest, or for the wild beast inside me. I need to learn how to better control it, however. I don't want it to break loose and kill those I care about!
This is why I am going to run away. Not until just before the next full moon, but I can't endanger my family. My parents would never accept my running off for a week at a time each month. It would be like all females vanishing for the entire week they were on their periods. Then again, those don't usually involve actual death as a result.
I have to do it. I WON'T hurt the people I care about!
