Mr. Brown hair and grey eyes pops up in our assembly in the large gymnasium, right next to me in the bleachers. I try not to look at him. I was once told that if you ignored your problems long enough and pretended they weren't there, they would go away. This did not work, unfortunately.

Bethany whispers, but it feels like she shouts, right into my ear. "Is dark and gorgeous the one who bit you?" She eyes up the man beside me, on my opposite side. I nod, adn dig my fingers into my forehead, trying to block out the shouts of my peers, as they prepare for the pre homecomeing week/ beginning of the school year pep rally.

"Aww, thanks, ladies," he plasters an almost sarcastic smile onto his handsomely sculpted face. Why did the friggin' werewolf have to be so attractive? He is a monster, yet I feel drawn to him . . . in ways I had never been to a boy/man before.

"Yes, I heard you, Alexa." This earns him a half flirtatious smile combined with a killer glare.

He returns the smile, but only half hearetdly and proclaims, "As sweet as that pretty little face of yours is, and I am sure your personality is, too, my heart has been taken." Oh. "Anyways, I am here to help you, Melody, make it through your first full moon."

"I'll be fine without the help of the phsycopath that turned into friggin' dog and bit me, thank you very much," I snap. "And I don't even know your name."

"My name is Cameron," Mr. Grey eyes explains. "And I didn't bite you for funsies, I am no phsycopath, and no, you definitely need my help."

    "I will live-"

"Either you will die becuase you aren't strong enough to take on an alternate form, or you will change and kill everyone you know, let alone care about."

"I choose C, none of the above!"

"C, is actually that I help you learn to control your shifting, if you make it, without killing anyone."

Alexa looks at me pointedly, "I think you should go with his version of C. It sounds the least unpleasant." I get several severe nods from her before she continues, "I need to go check with Mrs. Ramos about . . . a make up assignment becuase I am going to be ill tomorrow."

     So much help she is!

After Alexa leaves, Cameron clutches my hands in his own and lowers his voice. "Come to Iron road tonight, at six, unless you feel . . . like you are physically changing earlier."

"Isn't that the dead end near my house?"

"Yes, yes it is, my Melody," and with that, Cameron gets up and leaves.

Shifting? Dying? Killing? Hearts taken- and then being about a half a wink shy of flirting with both mys best friend and I? Something isn't right about Cameron, but I still feel drawn to him, in a way that I cannot describe except that this draw is from my very core.
