It's a little bit funny
And a large portion sad.
It's just how the world works,
Bet it's making you mad.Boy, don't you get it;
It's just how it's to be.
Nothing can change it,
Not even words from a tree.So put down your pencil,
Let go, your song.
Don't you realise they already know
What they've been doing wrong;
The faults in their waysOne soul may never change this big old world
But this world as a whole
Has changed a thousand young souls
Of which you are one.I am sorry, I sound so bitter.
It's almost only half my fault
But I had to show you the mirror,
They showed me when I was you.
