It has been 2 weeks and Rider will not talk to me.

I haven't seen him either.

I'm starting to get worried.

I walked down to his house.

I knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's Gabi."

He stayed silent.

"Can I come in?"

"No. I might hurt you again."

I paused for a moment.

"You're hurting me by not letting me see you."

He was silent for a moment and then he opened the door.

"Come in."

I stepped in and sat down.

"Please talk to me."

"I hurt you. It wasn't even a day and I hurt you!"

"Rider. You're scaring me."

"See, and then I scare you!"

"Calm down."

"How!? I'm not doing any of this!? He has control of my body!"

"Rider. Please calm down! I want to help you."

He ran his fingers through his hair.

"I knew this wasn't going to work out. He cursed me to die alone."

"Rider?"

"I think it's best if you leave."

"I'm not going anywhere. I want to be here for you."

"Gabi, just go! Please!"

"No! I want to be here. I need to be here."

I wrapped him in a hug.

"You're scaring me. I want the old Rider back."

"Gabi, I hurt you."

"Barely. That doesn't matter. Stop thinking about it. I'm not in a hospital bed. I'm fine."

"Stop saying that."

"Why?"

"Cause there's no such thing as I'm fine."

"Well then, I'm okay."

"Are you sure?"

"I promise."
