B-Rabbit28: A shorter chapter than usual since this episode was the later half where not much happen. Based on the manga, this is when the next chapter started, yet the anime made it all one chapter so I followed the format of the manga to split the parts hence the length difference. Please let me know if you all like the story so far, constructive criticism is okay, so that if I need to change things or double check on things I can do those immediately. Now onto the chapter!
"How to tackle?" Iwashimizu looked at Gion confused.
"I was watching themm practicing tackling while doing the turtle." He crossed his arms as he explained. "Good tackles make a different sound. When their tackles sounded good, their backs were straight. They weren't just crashing into their opponent. They went in like arrows. Building good posture! That was the point of doing the turtle."
Iwashimizu was pleased with tears coming out his eyes hearing Gion understand his training while Haruko patted him on the head. "See, your training didn't go in vain. Maybe now you can knock Sekizan-senpai off his feet."
"But even if I could pull off a tackle like that..." Gion took her hand off his head. "I don't think it'll be enough to take him down. He's way bigger than me."
Haruko held her chin as she thought about what he said. "It's true that he is bigger than you, the amount of pressure needed to tackle him have not been if your favor."
"But..." As she says that, both she and Gion had the same idea to turn to stare at the blond boy who towers over both of them in height. "Hmmm..."
"I've got it!" Gion stood up pointing Iwashimizu. "Let me practice on you!"
"What?" He twitched at Gion's statement.
"You're at least as tall as that mophead." Gion explained.
"Y-Yeah..." Iwashimizu relaxed his arms as he stared down at him. "But..."
"He's right, Iwashimizu-san." He looked over to see Haruko walking over to them. "If Gion wants to learn how to tackle, he will need experience with tackling tall people. Right now, you are the perfect target to help out."
"I'm glad you're the perfect size..." Gion walked back as he punched his fist to his palm. "I'll definitely knock him off his feet!"
Iwashimizu looked at him before giving a nod. "Yeah...Let's do it!"
As those two got into position to practice, Haruko stood near the discarded bags and she sent a text to Kenji saying how she will be running late getting him and for him to eat whats in the fridge.
"Good job Gion!" Haruko stood near Gion's drill zone as she cheered him on.
Compared to the first day of drills, his posture has gotten straighter and is movements are not as stiff and rigged as before as he got more comfortable in that position.
"That's it for today." Sekizan turned to all the members concluding their practice for today.
Gion, hearing this, stood up from his drill. "All right!"
"Gion, wait." Haruko ran after the boy as he stood near Sekizan. "Sorry Sekizan-senpai, but Gion is excited to use his tries today."
"She's right, sir!" He exclaim with manners. "I'm ready for my tackles, sir!"
"Wow~ using sir twice, you must be really excited Gion." She grinned looking at him.
He just gave her a small glare before turning back to Sekizan.
"I thought you would've learned your lesson by now." Sekizan straighten his posture as he placed his hands oh his hips. "Bring it on."
Haruko gave Gion his helmet as she left to stand near Umeno to watch the tackles occur. Once Gion strapped his helmet, he got into a sprint position and ran towards Sekizan tackling him before being pushed back onto the ground.
