1: The Journey Starts Today!

You're walking the streets of Unova, with your Charizard. Its a nice day out, the sun is shining, theres a nice breeze in the air, and you're on your way to the Pokemon center to rest your Charizard.

You don't have any other Pokemon with you, as you just started your Unova journey and want a new team to battle with. So basically, you're starting fresh.

The doors to the Pokemon center open and you walk in, being greeted by Nurse Joy.

You walk up to the counter, but you cant help but notice people staring at you. you start to get paranoid, and think you should just leave.

You put Charizard back into its pokeball and pull your hat down, and walk over to a couch to wait for Charizard to be fully rested.

You're sitting down browsing your phone, when you see three people standing in front of you.

Theres an older looking boy, with lime green hair.

Theres a smaller, but still older looking girl with large, brown hair.

And lastly, Theres a short boy, with black hair and sparkling eyes, the same with his smile, looking at you.

The black haired boy has a Pikachu on his shoulder, and the girl has an Axew poking out of her hair.

Before they could say anything, Charizard comes out of the door and rushes to you. You hug it. "Im glad you're feeling better, buddy!" you say to the happy Charizard.

"Hi, im Ash, and this is my partner Pikachu!" The boy named Ash says, Pikachu giving out a "Pika!"

"Im Cilan!" The green haired boy says.

"And i'm Iris, and this is Axew!" Iris says.

You're very surprised by all the attention you're suddenly getting.

"Uh, H-hi, i'm (Y/N) (L/N). Its nice to meet you.

"We came over here because when you came in, we saw your Charizard and how strong it looked!" Ash says, smiling.

While he was saying this, Ash's Pikachu and your Charizard were happily playing together, nuzzling each other and Pikachu playfully zapping Charizard.

"Look! It looks like Pikachu and (Y/N)'s Charizard are getting along really well!" Iris says.

"I was wondering if i could battle you... maybe...?" Ash asks, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh- i- uh-" you stutter.

"Oh! N-no! its fine if you don't want to! you just seemed like a good opponent!" Ash says, waving his hands.

"N-no, its not that! I was just hoping for some time for me and Charizard to train and practice for a bit, i just got to the Unova region."

"Wow! Really!?" Ash exclaims. "Ive been here for forever! I actually just entered the Unova league! And... lost..."

He has a sad look on his face.

"Oh, i'm sorry, i bet you're a great trainer, especially if you won all the badges and made it to the actual league!"

"I- I mean, i guess you could say that..." He says, looking embarrassed.

"Well, why don't we go sit down at a table and get to know more about each other?" Cilan says, pointing to a table by the window.

You all walk to the table and sit down.

"Wow, (Y/N)! it looks like we have a lot in common! We're both trainers, our Pokemon really like each other, and we're both heading to Nimbasa city!" Ash says happily.

"I wonder if i can trust these people, they seem pretty... trustworthy? can i call these people my new friends? i hope so, i'm getting tired of these lonely nights camping in the forest with only Charizard." you think to yourself.

Then, Ash snaps you out of your thoughts.

"Hey, would you like to come on our journey with us?" Ash happily asks, hoping for a "yes."

You were surprised by the offer, you never thought you would actually make friends. but can you really call these kids your friends? you're starting to get paranoid again, but you say yes.

"Sure! i'd love to!" You happily say.

"YES!" Ash nearly yells, pumping his fist in the air.

You chuckle at this action, you thought what he did was kinda cute.

"What a little kid." Iris states.

And with that, you all head off to your destination, Nimbasa City.

-Time skip-

You're all traveling along a river to your destination, when you all decide to settle down next to the river for some lunch.

You're sitting on a blanket facing the river, eating a sandwich that Cilan had prepared, he's a really good cook. When you notice something floating rapidly down the river, struggling.

You immediately start to panic. Its a pokemon, but you cant quite make out which one it is.

Ash and the group notice. Ash yells, "Look! somethings floating down the river!"

"Is it a pokemon?" Iris worriedly says.

"It is!" you yell. "I have to save it!" you say as you run into the river, going to save the struggling pokemon.

You're swimming down the river, trying to catch up with the pokemon. you eventually do, and dive underwater to see whats keeping it from swimming.

you're underwater, and you see that theres rope around its two back legs. you get your pocket knife out and attempt to cut the rope. its tough, but you manage to get it. but you have to get above water, and fast, your visions going blurry.

you breathe a breath of fresh air as you go above water, with the pokemon in your arms.

you swim to shore, and fall down onto the grass, still gasping for breath and coughing up water.

for this whole event, Ash and the group were just watching in awe.

Ash runs over to you quicker than Iris and Cilan, and kneels next to you to make sure you're ok. he seems more concerned about you than he is about the pokemon. he gives you his hand, and helps you sit up.
