Chapter 3 preview for y'all lazy asses who don't wanna go back an have a slow ass memory

I started to feel "weird", I could feel like a shift in my consciousness I can't really explain it. I think it was something in the food. My vision was starting to blur and get darker. I jumped backwards onto my bed and had my hands over my head. Everything went black but I was still aware of what was going on around me. I heard my uncle walk into my room. "She should be good now." I heard my uncle say something unclear to me, it seemed like he was talking to himself.

                                                                                       Chapter 4

                                                                                       Asia POV

I really should of seen this coming. How could he do me like this when he knows what I been going through. Everyone I ever trusted just ends up stabbing me in the back.

I felt him trying to strip me of my clothes. I still was conscious enough to know what was going on. He probably thought I was fully unaware of my surroundings though. I tried to push him off of me but when he realized  I was still awake, he started beating me with his fists. Why do I always get put in situations where the people who were supposed to love me do the opposite and hurt me instead. But I ain't about to let him get me, hell nah.

I tried reaching for something but he repeatedly was stomping on me. I got a good grip on the side table lamp and broke the glass against the back of his head. I tried getting up but my body wouldn't follow the orders I was giving it. I was beaten so badly and was drugged but eventually I got myself up and started trying to get out the door. I could hear him groaning, I guess I did not hit him hard enough. I was walking as fast as I could out the door. It was bright as hell outside. I saw my uncle get out the house but when he looked around noticing all the people, he went back inside.

My head was pounding and I felt as if I was sleeping but awake at the same time. I saw this sandy road with a truck parked on the side. I walked behind the truck and fell onto the ground. I always seen it parked in that spot, I don't think anyone was about t use it anytime soon. There was even spider webs on the wheels. I was breathing hard, my head and heart was pounding. I didn't have anything. Not a bag packed like last time, not no money except for the 20 dollars that I had in my shorts, no one to go to, and nowhere to stay. It's just me and it's always ended with just me.

A few hours later, I still didn't feel any better but I got myself up and into the back of the truck. I laid down and all I could do right now was just look up at the stars. I gotten used to eating since I ate good for these past few weeks. And I'm thankful for that. But because of that, I'm feeling hungrier and thirstier than a mug. I couldn't do nothing though, so I just closed my eyes and let my mind wander.

The next morning I felt a bit lighter. I got up out the truck and started walking. I didn't know where I was going but I'd rather be moving than sitting and waiting for something good to happen. When I saw a plaza not too far away I decided to go and see maybe if they would let me work there or something. I saw a sign outside the store that read "Hiring Now". I walked into the store with some hope.

"Ding" I walked through the door and headed towards the employee who was making smoothies for the customers. "How may I help you?", she said with her back towards me while chopping up some pineapple and strawberries. "Issa sign that says yall hiring. Can I talk to the manager so I can fill an application?" I responded in a raspy voice as my voice hasn't left my mouth today until now.
