Niall's Pov:
I sat at the very long and eloquent dinner table, mindlessly twirling my food with my fork on my plate while my mother and father talked with their rich friends about money. I had absolutely no interest in their boring conversations with others about politics and business. The whole room was filled with quiet talk about similar topics. My suit and tie grew to be very uncomfortable but as my parents always raised me to wear them at every point of the day, I knew how to handle the discomfort. I felt alone.
For a moment, I glanced up and saw a boy. His hair was finely cut and he looked stunning in his very slim suit which fit his body perfectly. I didn't have enough words to describe how perfect this boy was. He walked behind his parents who were being escorted by the hostess to their table which was in perfect view of my seat. Maybe having rich parents finally had its perks.
As the boy sat down, he made eye contact with me. I realized my eyes were endlessly fixed on him. Quickly, I looked down at my food, then slowly back at him to see if he was still looking. When he noticed I made eye contact with him again, he let out a bit of a chuckle. I grinned back at him.
He had my chin in the palms of my hands throughout the rest of the dinner. Our eyes connected a few more times. He seemed to not care much of what his parents were talking about. After thinking about it, I realized I was in over my head and stood up for a moment, excusing myself to the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom, I watched my reflection in the mirror. I fixed myself up as best as I can in the mirror, trying my best to make myself look nice. After a moment of adjusting my image, I heard the bathroom door open. My eyes soon connected once again with the boy who I exchanged many glances with earlier.
"Well hello there." He spoke. His voice was refined, soft and charming. It made me melt in my dress shoes.
"Hey." is all I could mutter out without sounding like a complete fool.
"Glad to finally meet the boy I was daydreaming about all night." He said. Step after step, his body came close to mine.
"I could say the same." I responded softly. I looked into his captivating eyes.
My gaze shifted to his lips as they approached mine. My eyes shut in time to enjoy the pure ecstasy of what was about to happen. Once our lips collided, I felt millions of sparks fly around us. He moved his hands to my waist, and mine to his. He pulled me closer, wrapping his hands completely around my back.
Our lips detached and we both looked into each others eyes. I knew this was too good to be true in every way possible. I couldn't risk having anyone catch us like this. My father would be embarrassed. Our grip on each other eased.
"I have to go." I spoke.
"Go where? Back to that boring and uninteresting conversation of politics, business and 1920's society?" He asked me.
"I hate every moment of it." I admitted to him in secrecy.
"So do I. I cant handle it anymore. We need to leave."
"We cant just leave the restaurant!" I said. "They'll see us." I added.
He nodded towards the window. I looked into his eyes which were filled with a gleam of danger. I liked it.
