So congrats, because you get a extra long chapter this week! :D

It was labors day, and I was just enjoying my day off while trying to catch up on all of my homework. I realized just tonight that I forgot to post on Monday, and spend most of my night today writing and editing this chapter.

I hope you enjoy the sloppy work I did half asleep hdsauidniaiksak. ヽ(=^・ω・^=)丿

Have a great rest of your night! (ヾ('・ω・`)

Previously...

"Shh...it's going to be okay. Everything will work out just fine at the end."

I whispered those words, more to comfort myself than Eli, hoping desperately that I'm right.

3rd POV

Demi had always been the type of person that trends carefully around everyone else. She didn't like to get into people's businesses, so she usually avoided trouble. But today, she thought that it would be fine if she slipped a word or two to Emily when she was sent to get Aesop for breakfast.

Two boys asleep on the floor, one with his arms wrapped around the other. Demi immediately walked away and informed Emily about what she had just seen.

"W-What?" Naib sputtered, spitting out a mouthful of water onto Fiona. She jumped up and began to chase him around the manor, screaming insults and attempting to strangle him.

Everyone else, however, ignoring the childish acts of the Priestess and Mercenary, started gossiping about the news.

"The embalmer and the seer? Never thought I would see this day..."

"I thought Aesop was usually always quiet! Turns out he was doing things behind our backs the whole time..." Kreacher sniggered.

The survivors crowded around Demi, asking her to repeat what she had exactly seen when she walked into the room.

William however, looked annoyed.

"Quiet!" He slammed his hand onto the table, hushing everyone in the room.

"Have you all have no shame? Discussing Aesop's relationships when it's none of our business. They obviously haven't told us because they didn't feel comfortable with us knowing, so don't anyone tease him about this. The boy has enough on his plate without this going around too." He huffed.

Under the gaze of the Forward, the survivors nodded quietly. Mike was the first to slip out of the room. He didn't wanted to be here when the tension was thick. One by one they left the room, until only a couple of people remained.

"Demi, are you absolutely sure that it's the Embalmer and the Seer?"

As soon as they left the main room, Vera questioned Demi in the hall.

"Yes. Why would I lie about that?" Demi rolled her eyes, finally getting tired of the repeated questions.

Vera stood in the now-empty hallway, her brain all jumbled and confused.

Had he really moved on with him?

Vera gritted her teeth.

I have to check.
