Before you start-
Just want to say thank you for 300 reads! It happened a lot faster than I expected (xD) but still thanks for all the support! I'm not a amazing writer but I do what I can, so it means a lot to me that people actually read my crap. :>
And also, I wrote this like at midnight so I'm just rereading it rn and it's like so cringy and bad. But I didn't waste two hours of my day for nothing, so I'm gonna post this story anyways (`・ω・').
So, enjoy! (~‾∇‾)~
-晨光^^
Joseph hummed quietly under his breath as he washed the dishes. He didn't want to wake Aesop, who was fast asleep on the sofa. As he dried his hands on his apron, he approached the sleeping boy and sat next to him. His face was quite peaceful, and that made Joseph smile.
He tucked a curl behind his ears and kissed his forehead. Aesop stirred, opening his eyes.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty."
Joseph cooed as Aesop yawned.
"Why are you so tired? If I remember correctly, you went to bed at ten o'clock yesterday."
"Sorry, I was up late."
"Doing what?"
Joseph was curious.
"Oh, nothing. Just um...thinking about things."
"Could one of those 'things' possibly include me?"
Joseph nudged Aesop and laughed.
"Maybe."
Aesop grinned back.
His eyes drifted towards the big, old grandfather clock in the hallway.
"Oh shoot! I have to go! I'm late!"
Aesop jumped up, unfortunately hitting his knee on the glass table. He swore loudly, making Joseph laugh again.
"Where are you going? It's finally Saturday and you're gonna leave me?"
Joseph pouts his lips.
"Don't worry, I'll be back soon enough. It's important."
Taking his face in his hands, Aesop planted a kiss on Joseph's lips.
"Don't miss me too much!"
Aesop waved as he pushed open the door. Joseph shooed him away with his hands, before yelling, "Be safe! Don't do anything stupid!"
Aesop caught Joseph's eye and laughed, nodding.
As he walked away, Joseph's grin slid off his face.
What am I supposed to do now?
He sat gloomily in the living room, flicking through channels on the TV. He wanted to text Aesop but didn't want to seem too clingy. After all, he just left.
Joseph finally landed on a TV show starring Tom Cruise (I'm sorry that's the first thing that came to my mind xD), but soon fell asleep on the couch.
He jerked away. It was dark outside and Aesop still wasn't home. The TV was loud, pounding in his ears. The movie was long over. He turned it off, and the eerie silence greeted him. Joseph groaned. How long have I been asleep?
As the sky got darker and darker, Joseph began to worry. Aesop had been out this late before, but he always made sure to let Joseph know, and give him an exact time when he'll be home. He paced around the living room, trying hard to not panic.
