It was a two-story house, the back window facing the darkening ocean. Through the thin, messily sorted curtains, we can see the silhouette of two figures inside the building, one looking relaxed, and the other tense, with a small stack of paper piled on a small coffee table in front of him. The taller figure would constantly pick up a teacup and take a sip, then putting the utensil down, repeatedly. Finally unable to remain silent any longer, the silver-haired man asked loudly, "Are you finished now, Aesop?" Even after being addressed directly, the smaller figure only fidgeted slightly on the cream-colored couch, but otherwise showed no sign of hearing him.

He huffs, blowing hair out from his face. Aesop continued to sort the papers in front of him, and he watched with little interest, instead focusing his attention on the beautiful features of his lover. Starting with his soft hair, that he loves to run his hand through. It was a silvery-white color, similar to his own. His full lips that always drive him mad every time he smiles. He has large, adorable eyes, full of bright sparks and wonders every time he looks at him, with such lovingness that Joseph had to resist the urge to hide him from the rest of the world because he could only be his, alone.

Thinking to this point, he giggled, and Aesop looked up, curious about what made his mood lift. "Oh, it's nothing. I'm just happy you're here with me." Joseph replied to an unasked question, his grin turning bigger as he watched him flush with embarrassment, his cheeks a tint redder than what it was before.

"Y-You always say embarrassing things like that..." Aesop protested weakly as Joseph walked over and scooped him up like a baby, pulling him onto his lap. "I'm not distracting you, am I?" He smiled. Aesop huffed and said nothing, puffing up his cheeks. Can he be more adorable?

"Anyways, what are you doing? I don't remember you ever having extra work before." Joseph started gently, knowing that Aesop normally doesn't like people butting into his business. He regretted immediately after asking the question as Aesop's face fell. The small looking boy in his lap looked down at the floor and didn't answer. After several nudges and "hmm's?" he finally cracked and admitted that he might have messed up on a person in the mortuaries.

"I labeled two or more bodies with the wrong names, and one of them had their funeral today...it was terrible when they came up to pay their respect and realize that it's the wrong person in the coffin..." Aesop's shoulders sank, and Joseph sat quietly, rubbing his shoulders in comfort. It might be strange for normal people to be including the talk about dead bodies in their conversation, but it was something Joseph had to get used to due to his lover's special career.

Aesop leaned back and rest his head on Joseph's chest, closing his eyes. He had a intoxicating smell that he could never get enough of, and it was perfect for this moment. The warm, luminous light from a nearby lamp cast itself onto them, and Joseph quietly turned it off as to not disturb the other's rest. He bent down and kissed the smaller boy's head, and got one on his left cheek in return.
